This is it guys! the last low key chapter! The next one isn't part of the finale, but it kickstarts it! (IM SO EXCITED)

Also, since Collector and Volpina are kinda back-to-back this is kinda part 1 of 2

____

Upon walking up the steps to the school, I kept hearing whispers about a new girl who had supposedly met a lot of famous people. It couldn't help but put a damper on my excitement with Claude's proposal (which, by the way, was slotted for tomorrow morning!) Although, hearing Chloe being jealous of this Lila-girl couldn't help but make me smirk.

I saw Alya and Marinette. I approached the girls and stood next to Alya as Marinette replied to whatever it was Alya had said.

"What?! Don't say that!" she This is super bad, what if Adrien totally falls for her?!"

Her? Was Marinette talking about the new girl I heard whispers about coming in? And what did she have to do with Paws?

"I've never flown in a private jet-," Marinette continued, listing out all of this girl's claims.

I pulled out my phone. None of these sounded right, but I might as well check on it...

"-nobody's ever written a song about me; and I don't know a single person in Hollywood! Adrien will forget I even exist!"

"Yo Laces," I held my phone out to her to show her my find, "Maybe you should fact check this girl, none of it is true." I wasn't about to let my little brother fall for this liar of a girl. Clearly she wanted attention and thought lying was the best way to get it. No way, nuh-uh! One of these days, I'd have him hook up with Marinette and that'd be that!

"What?!" Both girls said simultaneously.

"Uh yeah," I raised an eyebrow at them, "While it's good of you two to give people the benefit of the doubt, Lila is just straight up lying. Look, here has a list of all the people Jagged ever wrote songs for, guess what, they're all for his crocodile. And here it says the first time Prince Ali flew in a jet was when he came to Paris a few weeks ago, and Lila wasn't anywhere to be found," I named a few examples.

"What?!" Alya exclaimed, "So that means that she hasn't really met Ladybug?!" she already proceeded to start taking down the video on the internet.

"Alya, seriously," I scoffed, "You've met Ladybug several times, why should this be different or more special?" Why was everyone being so gullible?

Marinette gasped and pointed up towards the library, "Look! Where are they going?!"

I looked up and I saw Lili pulling Paws to the library.

"Uh oh," Fuko sang delightedly.

I rolled up my sleeve, "Oh no you won't!" I hissed, "I'm not about to let Paws be anywhere near a fibster!" I snarled.

"What?" the girls stared at me.

"Time for some big brother intervention," I began stomping my way up the stairs.

"Wait for me!" Marinette came right after me, "What do you mean by big brother?" she asked.

"Oh come now Laces, don't pretend I haven't become the school's local annoying big brother," I rolled my eyes, holding the door open for her.

As we entered, Paws was sitting at a table alone. Both Marinette and I peeked behind him from a shelf.

"Where is she?" Marinette asked.

"I don't... see her," I admitted, "although if that's where they're meeting, I have an idea to hang around the area without being conspicuous," I told Laces. "Wait here."
