"Damn it Brooklyn, answer your phone." Charlie shouted running across the parking lot. "Answer the fucking phone!"
"Hey sorry I can't be reached right now."
Charlie shook his head trying her phone again. "Damn it, answer your phone."
"Hey sorry I can't be reached right now."
Charlie flipped the mask down starting his motorcycle up.
"Why are you calling me?"
"Chris, where are you?"
"Currently in New York. I am filming right now."
"Where is Elsa?"
"Back at the LA house, what is going on? Why are you calling me?"
"It's Brooklyn, I can't get her."
"I don't understand."
"She was at his house and then the line went dead."
"He is across the set, give me a second."
Charlie changed lanes without looking over his shoulder.
He shifted gears as the time was clicking down.
Charlie flew through a red light when the call with Hemsworth went dead.
"Answer your phone Brooklyn."
Charlie bent down into his bike as he went through another light.
"Hey, you have Harlow."
"Brooklyn, where is she?"
"She is over at Chris's house. She went to take out the dog."
"Have you talked to her?"
"No, I mean his house is kinda up in the district. Why? Charlie?"
Charlie pushed the bike harder when he saw the smoke. "Get over here Harlow."
The line went dead as Charlie slammed on the gas.
The smoke was getting darker and darker as he got closer.
Fire and police were running around the building.
Charlie walked around the crowd as an officer yelled for someone to check the back side of the building.
"Hello?"
"Where is your apartment?" Charlie asked.
"Who is this?"
"You have 10 seconds before we have to bury her." Charlie said looking up at the building.
"4th level, it faces the street."
Charlie pushed his phone back into his pocket as he went up the street.
He climbed a side fence heading into an alley way.
Charlie went down the alley way as an officer was standing at the end.
"You need to keep moving." The officer shouted back at Charlie.
Charlie nodded his head sending his fist into the officer's face knocking him to the ground.
Charlie pulled him over to the side grabbing his walkie and gun. Charlie checked his clip as he started for the back door.
The fire was roaring above him.
Charlie covered his face with his bandanna as he pushed through the smoke.
"Watch above you!"
Charlie moved to the side as a couple of firefighters raced past him.
One of them turned back to him as Charlie flashed the gun.
The firefighter kept after the other leaving Charlie alone.
Charlie came to his door.
He pushed it but nothing.
He pushed again but no give.
"Mother fucker."
Charlie stepped back as he sent his foot into the door.
But nothing.
The apartment door next to that one was open.
Charlie walked through the apartment of the eldery lady. One of her cats took off running out of the apartment when Charlie saw it.
Her body was on the recliner with a single shot through the temple.
His eyes narrowed.
A single entrance.
Charlie kept moving leaving her body alone.
He grabbed the sliding glass door. He pulled back hard letting fresh air but also smoke pouring out of the apartment.
He glanced back when something moved in the smoke.
His eyes came together as they widened.
Charlie took off running as a ball of flames shot out toward him sending glass all over the place.
Charlie slammed into the balacony of his apartment.
Smoke and flames poured out next to him.
"This is a new low even for him." Charlie coughed looking into the apartment for her.
It was dark.
It was dark and silent.
Charlie stood up looking harder. "Brooklyn..."
Gasps and mumbles came from below him.
Charlie glanced back as SWAT had arrived.
"Fuck."
Charlie reached for the door when he saw it.
The little wire heading down the door and across the floor.
Across the floor to her.
He slowly went up to her.
Her head was dropped.
Her blonde hair was streaked with red.
"Brooklyn?" His hands hit the window when he heard the barking.
Dodger came out of the side room barking and growling.
"Fucking dog, Dodger!" Charlie shouted in at him.
Dodger growled standing infront of her.
Charlie looked back at her, "Come on Brooklyn! Wake the fuck up!"
Dodger growled again snapping at the window.
Her head kinda moved as her fingers wiggled.
"Come on Dodge, wake her up!" Charlie shouted as her head rolled to the side.
Charlie cracked a smile as Dodger was still barking and growling.
I coughed as my lungs were thick.
Thick with something.
I couldn't move my hands.
My legs were stuck.
I wanted to see but everything was blurry.
Everything was dark.
But the barking.
God the barking.
"Dodger..." I tried getting out. It was thick and harsh.
I went to move again when my hands felt it.
It pulled at me ripping skin.
I cried out in pain when I saw him.
"Charlie?" I muttered out when something hot hit my face.
I slowly looked to the side to see the bright orange.
Fire.
My eyes got wide when the flame streched out to me then went back.
"Don't move!" Charlie shouted at me.
My eyes went back to him.
He pointed under me.
I slowly leaned forward.
It was a pressure plate.
Charlie shook his head back at me.
Dodger whined at me as it was getting hotter.
"We are gonna get out. Trust me Dodger." I glanced back over my shoulder at the door. "I am getting us out of here."
Charlie bent down looking to the side.
It was the window to the side bedroom.
I bent down pulling on the duct tape.
I pulled as hard as I could as Dodger barked at something moving around behind me.
"Hey, easy boy." Charlie walked into the room.
"What the hell happened?" I asked with my throat closing.
Charlie bent down to look me in the eyes, "You are getting out of here."
I nodded my head back at him.
"But give me a second." Charlie left me alone heading somewhere else in the apartment.
I went back to my hands.
I needed them.
Charlie put something around my face.
A wet bandanna.
I looked up at him as his eyes were watching the thing under me.
Charlie bent down but I could see the worry in his eyes.
He doesn't know how to stop it.
He doesn't have the answer.
"Charlie..."
He shook his head back at me. "I am not giving up. We are not giving up."
I cracked a smile from under the bandanna.
There was a thump from behind us.
Charlie looked up with a gun drawn at the door.
Dodger whined at me as Charlie slowly stood up.
I looked up at him.
Dodger growled as Charlie backed away from me.
The barrel of a gun went past my face.
"You really think, this was going to be the end? That I would just let her go?"
Charlie looked down at me.
Dodger ran back into the bedroom when the gun went off sending three rounds into Charlie's chest.
I screamed out as Charlie stumbled back into the glass.
"I think it was time that was over anyways."
My eyes watched as Charlie collasped to the floor.
Theo stepped around me removing his gas mask, "You look tired."
I didn't look up.
"You should hurry up my love, your time is running out."
I glared up at him.
"You are not that young like you used to be. You can't stay here for long." Theo walked around me with a smile on his lips.
"And you aren't going to escape this." I said jumping up from the chair. "Dodger!"
Dodger came running from the bedroom.
He growled catching Theo by the arm as I grabbed the gun from Charlie's hand.
Theo held the gun in my face as I held the gun in his face.
"You shouldn't be alive." I said back to him.
"Neither should you." Theo commented back.
"Then just let me go."
"No. You belong with me." Theo whinced at the pain that Dodger had created.
I glanced down when I heard it.
The stove.
I took a step back whislting over to Dodger.
Theo snapped his head back as the hissing sound was getting louder.
I scooped Dodger up heading for the window.
I placed my back to the fall with Dodger whining out in fear.
The sound of the car window smashing out under my weight was covered by the explosion.
The explosion sending a patio chair across the road.
I moaned out in pain when I felt a hand on my stomach.
I looked up to see Charlie looking back at me with blood covered his face.
"I really hate him."
I cracked a smile back at Charlie.
His vest was revealing the three spots that should have killed him.
The three bullet holes that should have ended him.
I rolled from the car letting Dodger go.
Charlie looked up at the apartment that flames were exploding from. "Any way he makes it through?"
"He is the son of the devil. Of course he does." I moaned out rolling from the top of the car.
Charlie glanced back at the car, "You should have died from that. You know."
"You can't kill a black widow." I grinned back at him as he helped me down the street away from the apartment building.
