Ruby~doing homework 10pm

"How the heck am I supposed to know this stuff?" I mumbled to myself. Homework is something I find really useless. Because in 5 years, when I'm at an interview for some super ritzy job they aren't going to ask me about my report on why George Washington was the man we should all aspire to be.
*ding*
I turned my head around towards my window. A couple seconds went by, I turned my head back around.
*ding*
I looked back again, nothing.
*ding*
This time I got out and looked out my window. I couldn't help the dumb smile that spread across my face and I looked down at Jimmy Newton. Standing outside my window, throwing whatever he threw. I carefully and very very quietly opened my window.
"Come with me!" He yelled
"SHHHH!!!" I put a finger up to my mouth. I saw one of the outside lights turn on and Jimmy ducked on the other side of the house. I quietly closed my windows as I saw my dad peek out the front door.
"Stupid kids." He shook his head and went back inside. Once it was safe I opened my window back up and Jimmy crawled out.
"Come with me, Ruby." He said, quieter.
"No thanks I choose life." I laughed
"It's time you start living." He inched closer to the house
"I have homework to do." I shrugged
"You can do homework tomorrow." He started very carefully climbing a tree.
"You're going to fall there's ice all over that tree." I said as a matter of factly
"Well I've already fallen for you once."
I hoped that the darkness hid my red cheeks. "Actually, make that twice." He laughed.
He slowly but surely made it to my window seal. He leaned in.
"Nice room." He looked straight into my eyes. I felt like melting.
"Thanks." I whispered
"Lets go." He smiled
"Jimmy, I can't-"
"Ruby? Are you asleep?" I heard my mom knock softly on my door. I faced Jimmy with wide eyes. He swung around the tree.
"Ruby?" My mom opened my door, "brrr! I thought it was cold in here!"
I turned to face my mom.
"Oh hey. I was just finishing my homework. I'm gonna go to bed." I said. She closed my windows.
I sat on the bed.
"Are you okay honey?"
"Yeah I'm fine." I nodded
"Are you sure?"
"Positive." I smiled.
"Goodnight sweetie." She closed my bedroom door and I waited a couple minutes before I saw all the lights turn off.
Then I jumped out of bed and opened my windows.
"Man is about to die out here." Jimmy swung back around.
"I'm sorry." I said
"Don't be. Are you ready?" He asked
I bit my bottom lip.
"Okay just let me get some warmer clothes on." I whisper, shut my windows, and my curtains. I put on black overalls, with a grey hoodies under. Then I put my hair back in a low bun and put a cap on. I got my black converse on as well.

"Here goes nothing." I grabbed my phone and slid it in my pocket and opened my windows.
"Finally." Jimmy sighed.
"How do I get down?"
"Take my hand." He said
I carefully took his hand. I never thought that his hand would feel so warm, and nice. Mine fit perfectly in his. He helped my out onto my window ledge. I sat down. He turned around so he was facing away from me.
"Okay wrap your arms around my neck." He said
I hesitated a little, but did what he told me to.
He leaned back against me, gently put his hands under my legs.
"Okay hold on tight. Wrap your legs around my waists." I did and he carefully took his hands away and started climbing down. I looked up at my window, shut and sealed.
What am I thinking?
