Hi loves, just a gentle reminder to remember that this is just a story and the characters are who I have portrayed them to be for story purposes. This is no indication of how I feel about them or how they may be in real life. It's a story! Enjoy!

"What about this one?" Mali inquired, holding up a thin pink choker that resembled something Barbie would wear if she delved into a grungy phase. Leilani Morales shook her head and continued fingering through a set of earrings, looking for any pair daunting enough to catch her eye. Meanwhile, Mali sighed. "You're so hard to please woman."

"Hey, I cant help that I have a particular taste in chokers," Leilani defended herself, pulling a pair of golden hoops from the rack. She held them to her ear in front of the small mirror and modeled the jewelry. They were cute enough to fall into her basket.

"You literally wear one belt choker all the time. If you wanted to switch it up just get someone to choke you during sex," Mali retorted, throwing the choker she'd suggested back onto the display. Leilani's eyes widened as a surprised scoff left her mouth. "Oh come on, it's a common kink."

"Ew!" Leilani exclaimed, trying to imagine asking Calum to choke her. She winced at how awkward the conversation would be, then winced again when she thought of telling her best friend about their relationship. "No, that's just weird."

"Hey, what time is our reservation again?" Eliza inquired as she walked over to the pair, eyes glued to her phone screen.

"Uh, 6:30 I think," Leilani answered and Mali confirmed the time with a nod. They were going to a fancy restaurant in honor of it being Mali's last day in Los Angeles before leaving for London. All the boys would be there, as well as Crystal, Ben, Dominque, and Lauren. Leilani rented out an entire VIP room at a restaurant in order to maintain the utmost privacy. There were professional servers and a security detail that Leilani thought would come in handy when Mali tried to murder her after revealing the news of her newfound boyfriend.

"Well we probably should get going then. It's 6:12 now and the drive is ten minutes," Eliza suggested, finally pocketing her phone. "There are some serious articles on the internet about you and Luke, Lan. They're very interesting to read."

"Is that what you're doing?" Leilani asked as they approached the checkout counter. "Reading bullshit articles?"

"Oh, come on. You mean to tell me there's not even a little spark between you two?" Mali demanded playfully, stepping up to the second cashier. They simultaneously unloaded their items whilst continuing their conversation.

"I told you guys: we're friends. I just don't have feelings for him like that," Leilani answered, annoyance creeping its way into her tone. "Can we please just drop it? I know you guys mean well, but I'm tired of repeating the same thing."

"We're sorry," Eliza said immediately, Mali nodding in agreement. "We just want you to be happy, Lele. You do so much for us that we want to do something for you for once."
