Summary: Tanaka Yukio, better known by his nickname Koyuki is a 14 year old who feels disconnected from life in general. Through the act of saving a mismatched dog, he meets guitarist Minami Ryuusuke, and becomes involved in Ryuusuke's new band BECK. Koyuki's life starts to change as the band struggles towards fame.

This is a show that was suggested to me via comment on this book (I promise yall I actually read every suggestion lol sometimes i just never get around to actually watching the shows). Unfortunately it's not on Crunchyroll, so I sniffed around YouTube to find as much of it as I could. It is a little old, so the animation is kinda wonky, but it doesn't take away from the story.

One thing I'd suggest, watch it subbed. I'm not a purist -- I watch a lot of dub, but this show is kinda meant to be in Japanese. There are characters that speak English sometimes, and if the whole show is dubbed it kinda loses the meaning of those scenes.

I've only watched a few episodes, but so far it's really decent, so I'll probably finish it quickly.

Also, the dog (Beck), is adorable.
