(Not doing all the info because I did it in the previous chapter)
THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS VERY DETAILED SPOILERS FOR MY HERO ACADEMIA SEASON FOUR (DUH) SO DON'T READ IT IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED UP TO EPISODE 88 OF THE ANIME!
So, I wanted to write another review for MHA, specifically for Season four because my initial review was written before season 2 had even finished and the show has obviously come very far since then. As I write this now the show has 88 episodes and season five is in the works, although there is not a release date for it yet and it is assumed it will air in 2021.
Moving on. The season started with Overhaul being introduced and loosely teaming up with Shigaraki and the LOV, and then moved to focus on the students at their work studies. We got to see a lot of the Big Three this season, and I'm really happy about that because they're all such wonderful characters! I really liked seeing Tamaki's quirk animated, and the Red Riot Unbreakable scene was just as amazing has I had hoped it would be.
The fight between Izuku and Overhaul is one of the coolest fights of the series thus far and I really liked the way it was done. I don't know about anyone else but for me reading manga can be kind of hard to follow sometimes, so seeing it animated on screen literally brought it to life for me.
Gentle Criminal finally coming into the show was also super exciting. His design is really eye catching for me, and the fight between him and Izuku is ALSO really amazing, even right after a fight with Overhaul. Some of my favorite manga caps are from the fight between Izuku and Gentle.
The anime ended off with Endeavor facing off against the Noumu and getting his now pretty iconic scar.
So basically, this season gave us multiple badass battles pretty much back to back and we got to learn more about the LOV and AFO's intentions, as well as meet a whole new villain. We also got a pretty sweet scene of Izuku having some sort of dream about the other users of OFA! I'm not going to spoil anything for those who only watch the anime but I can assure you we're in for a pretty exciting season 5!
Season Four gets a solid 9/10 from me! Catch up if you haven't already, season 5 is going to be awesome.
