Countrycide Pt. 5

Evan chased Tosh and Ianto with a machete. "I know you're here," he caught Toshiko "No one's coming for you,"

Tosh kicked Evan in the gonads and ran again. Finally, Toshiko tripped up and screamed.

"No more games. Hush now," Evan started choking Tosh "Hush now,"

A gun was nearly touching Evan's temple.

"Get off her or I'll shoot." Owen ordered "Get off her or I'll shoot!" he repeated.

Police Chief Huw and Gwen were there, with Ianto. Evan didn't move so Owen kicked his head.

"Ianto found us," Gwen explained

"They've murdered all the villagers. They're cannibalizing the bodies," Toshiko explained.

"Put the gun down," Evan told Owen.

"You're in no position to negotiate, mate," Owen told him

"It's all right, it's all right. You're safe." Gwen said "You can arrest him now." she told Huw, "I said you can arrest him,"

"Are you gonna arrest me, Huw?" Evan asked

"That'd be a laugh, wouldn't it? My own uncle," Huw drew a gun on Owen. Gwen pointed hers at Huw.

"Put the gun down." Gwen ordered "Don't hurt him,"

"Shoot the bastard." Evan ordered "Split his skull,"

"Put the fucking gun down!"

"Shoot,"

"I will shoot you. Put it down,"

"Pull the trigger. Kill!"

Gwen gave up her gun. Evan got up from the ground.

"Why don't you give me the gun, mate?" Evan ordered

Toshiko, Owen, Ianto, and Gwen were pushed into the slaughterhouse. Tosh took note of the people that were in the room. "Who are these people?"

"This is our village," Helen explained

"The villagers are dead," Gwen said

"They're all involved." Toshiko realized "They've all been doing it,"

"This is our Harvest," Evan explained

"Only in the bloody countryside." Owen said "You sick fuckers,"

"Help me, help me," Keiran whined

"Where's Angela?" Ianto asked, "What have you done with her?"

Evan took the sack off Angela's head, revealing the blonde to be unconscious and gagged. Evan slapped her "Wake up, girl. Time to be bled, like veal. It takes a long time, but it definitely makes the meat taste better,"

The glassware started rattling.

"What now?" Evan dropped Angela and went towards the door "What the fuck?"

A tractor unit smashed through the door and Jack leaped out, firing a pump-action shotgun at the cannibals. Jack aimed mostly at the knees. Police Chief Huw tried to get his gun.

"Oh, really?" Jack challenged, killing him. Then he turned to Evan.

"No, Jack. Don't do it," Gwen exclaimed

"These people don't deserve warnings,"

"Let me question him. I have to understand. I want to know why. Otherwise this, this is too much,"

"They're injured." Toshiko said "They need to get to the hospital,"

"Owen, you control the bleeding and then phone the police. Jack, please give me an hour with him. Don't tell me you don't want to know too,"

Jack looked back at Angela, the once fearless girl he had come to known, looked like a shivering child as she watched the spectacle. He raised his gun at Evan "I've read the books," and fired.

I was packing up my things back at Torchwood.

"Leaving so soon?" Jack asked from behind me.

I looked back at him as I shouldered my bag. "Gotta keep running,"

"You can't keep running forever,"

I smiled "I know a man who would say otherwise,"

Jack walked closer to me "You could stay...Torchwood could use a woman like you,"

"I don't really do well with others," I challenged

"You seemed to do well with the team,"

"They don't trust me,"

"They will,"

I looked up at Jack as we were centimeters apart "I don't want to hurt you,"

"You won't,"

With that, Jack closed the gap and our lips crashed together.

But despite the moment, my mind still drifted to a raggedy blue police box with a madman inside. A madman who was wrapped in an enigma of emotions, that despite pushed me away, pulled me towards him with just the same amount. The same amount that caused me to break off from Jack.

"I can't..." I told him.

"So there is someone else," Jack said with a sad smile

"It's complicated," I admitted "I just need to figure this all out,"

"I understand...just remember that I'll always be here if you need me,"

I brushed a hand against his cheek "You're sweet. But a Winchester doesn't do well with domestication...we've tried," I patted his cheek as I walked passed "See you around Hotness,"
