An Angel Amongst the Stars (Supernatural x Doctor Who)

Utopia

The TARDIS materialized in Cardiff in front of the water tower in Roald Dahl Plass. The Doctor was at the console, as Martha walked in.

"Cardiff?" Martha questioned, "You had me travel to Cardiff just so you could come to pick me up?"

Angela only shrugged.

"Ah, but the thing about Cardiff is that it's built on a rift in time and space-just like California and the San Andreas Fault. The rift bleeds energy. Every now and then I need to open up the engines, soak up the energy and use it as fuel,"

"So it's a pit stop," Ange reasoned

"Exactly. It should only take twenty seconds. The rift's been active,"

"Wait a minute. They had an earthquake in Cardiff a couple of years ago. Was that you?" Martha asked

"Bit of trouble with the Slitheen,"

Martha looked to Angela for help.

"Wasn't here for that," Ange admitted

"Happened a long time ago. Lifetimes. I was a different man back then. Finito. All powered up." The Doctor saw Jack on the scanner. He set the time rotor moving. Something went bang on the console.

"Whoa! What's that?" Martha asked

"We're accelerating into the future." The Doctor explained "The year one billion. Five billion. Five trillion. Fifty trillion? What? The year one hundred trillion? That's impossible,"

"Why? What happens then?" Angela questioned

"We're going to the end of the universe,"

The TARDIS arrived with a thud and the Doctor looked at Martha and Angela questioningly. "Well, we've landed,"

"No kidding," Ange huffed as she stood up from her place on the floor.

"So what's out there?" Martha asked

"I don't know,"

Angela snorted "Say that again. That's rare,"

"Not even the Time Lords came this far. We should leave. We should go. We should really, really...go."

Ange looked at Marth and grinned widely before heading for the door.

"Oi!" The Doctor called out as they stepped out.

Martha saw Jack on the ground. "Oh my God!"

Angela stopped where she stood and looked down at Jack's body "No..."

"Can't get a pulse. Hold on, you've got that medical kit thing," Martha ran back into the TARDIS.

The Doctor sauntered over "Hello again. Oh, I'm sorry,"

Ange walked in shock as the Doctor spoke to Jack as if they knew each other.

Martha rushed back "Here we go. Out of the way." she moved passed a shocked Angela. "It's a bit odd though. Not very 100 trillion, that coat's more like World War II,"

"I think he came with us," The Doctor admitted

Ange finally seemed to find her voice "How d'you mean?"

"Must've been clinging to the outside of the TARDIS all the way through the vortex,"

Angela couldn't help the slight smile "Well, that's very him,"

It was the Doctor's turn to look at Ange in confusion.

"I'm sorry, there's no heartbeat. There's nothing. He's dead,"
