A/n: I just realized that this book is almost at 900k reads....I'm shook. Very shook, tbh. I never thought anyone would really like this book, let alone encourage me to write another one. I never considered myself a good writer, but I feel like I've grown immensely throughout this book.

Idk, I'm just in sad hour rn lmao. I didn't use the whole song, only half of it. I really like this song so i hope you give it a listen :)

I'm not the best at showing my emotions
You cut me deep and you left me wide open
I fought the demons that lie in between us
They'd think we're perfect if they'd ever seen us, but
I guess this sounds like another sad love song
I can't get over how it all went wrong
But, I let the words come together
Then, maybe I'll feel better

"You sure you don't want to come with us, Jaemin?" Jeno asked, watching as his friend grabbed his car keys from the desk. Jaemin gave a small smile, shaking his head and letting out a small laugh.  Jeno pouted slightly, looking at his friend once more.

"No, it's fine. I think I'm just going to go home and watch a movie," Jaemin informed Jeno, giving him a peace sign as he left Jeno's house. Jeno left at the same time, the two walking down the hallway and making their way down the steps together. Muffled laughter and giggles of different apartment tenants echoed slightly. Soon, the two friends were outside, Jeno giving his friend one last smile.

"Are you sure?" Jeno asked once more. The wind blew slightly, Jaemin's hair flowing with it, but he ran his hand through his hair to fix it.

"I'm fine," He replied once more. Jeno gave him a nod, walking the opposite way.

"You know where we'll be at if you change your mind." With that, Jeno turned around, his hand in his pockets as he continued to walk away. The smile on Jaemin's face slowly dissipated, replaced with a firm line. He turned the opposite way, walking down the street, passing his car without a second thought. The wind continued to blow as people passed Jaemin, smiles on their faces and their arms wrapped around one another. Jaemin couldn't help but scoff to himself, tucking his hands further into his coat pocket.  He walked against the wind, his hair being slightly pushed back as he continued. The street slowly became silent, his head being lost in his thoughts as he waited for the crosswalk sign to turn white.

His eyes drifted across to the couple a ways away from him, seeing as one wrapped their arm around the other, pulling them off the street and saving them from almost getting hit by an oncoming car.

Jaemin couldn't help but smile to himself, a similar memory filling his mind.

"Woah, watch out, (y/n)!" Jaemin scolded his lover, his arms wrapped around them safely. They didn't seem to have looked both ways before crossing, a car heading towards them at an immense speed, but Jaemin easily pulled them back from the horrible outcome that would have been.

(y/n) sighed, smiling sheepishly up at Jaemin as a small, embarrassed blush appeared on their face.

"Thanks,"

Jaemin snapped out of his thoughts as he saw the countdown begin, making him run across the street to get to the other side in time. He let out a small sigh, shaking his head.

He continued to walk after that.

  Bridges they are burning
Lover, I am worried
Tables they are turning
Lover, I am hurting
Burning burning burning, dadadadada
Turning turning turning turning, dadadadada
Burning burning burning, dadadadada
Turning turning turning turning, dadadadada

His phone vibrated as he continued to walk, his hand reaching into his pocket and pulling it out. Haechan's name sprawled across the screen, vibrating a few more times in his hand. Jaemin continued to look down at the call, before pressing 'decline' and putting the phone in his pocket, this time on silent. As he continued to walk, he came across this shop, the bright lights intriguing his lone self.

He's been there before, that's for sure. The smell of fresh sweets and food filled his nostrils, a nostalgic feeling filling up his heart. Before he knew it, he found himself walking inside, the door chiming happily.

"Ah, I see you're back," An old man smiled, welcoming Jaemin into his warm shop, "What will lit be?" Jaemin didn't answer at first, before quietly placing his order, sitting at a chair close to the window. He watched as the streets slowly turned quiet, the sun barely setting at this time, "I would usually close at this time, but I think you're an exception," The old man chuckled, placing Jaemin's order in front of him. As he saw that Jaemin didn't react, only glancing at the male and giving him a small nod, he decided to sit across from him.

Jaemin stared at him curiously, wondering as to why he was sitting across from him, but the old man spoke up.

"I'm guessing you're thinking about that one person you always came with...(y/n), was it?" The man watched as Jaemin slightly flinched but still didn't answer. So, he kept going, "Nice person, they were. I'm guessing you aren't together anymore? Or were you together at all?"

"It's none of your business, frankly," Jaemin muttered, pushing the drink and pastry away from him. He stood up, leaving a tip on the table and going to the door. The bell chimes, but Jaemin didn't seem to move. He saw familiar (h/c) hair in front of him, the same (e.c) eyes staring up into his own dark brown ones, "Oh.."

Without another word, Jaemin seemed to push past (y/n), continuing on his way. But it didn't seem like they would let him. He felt a tight grasp on his wrist turn him around, an angry look on (y/n)'s face.

"Oh? Is that all you have to say to my face?!" The anger seeped through their words like poison, Jaemin refusing to look at them, "And now you won't even look at me. Are you painting me to be the bad guy? Because that's what it seems like-"

"How can I not?" Jaemin spits back, his own eyes holding a sense of fury in them," After all the shit you pulled on me, seeing someone else while I was literally in another country, only thinking of you the whole time I was there. I'm surprised I'm even talking to you right now. Now, leave me alone," with that said, Jaemin pulled his wrist away from (y/n), leaving her baffled. Of course, it seemed as though they wouldn't leave without a proper argument, so they reached for his wrist once more, but Jaemin glared them down, a small frown on his face, "I said, " His voice was low, sending shivers down (y/n)'s spine, "Leave me alone."

Jaemin them walked away, leaving a stunned (y/n) in his wake.

Unbeknownst to them, Jaemin's eyes had filled to the brim with tears, falling like a waterfall down his cheeks as he continued to walk.

I took the time to think of what you said
You were tap-dancing in my head
I must be honest, I have a lot of pride
But I'm broken inside
I guess this sounds like another sad love song
I can't get over how it all went wrong
But, I let the words come together
Then, maybe I'll feel better
