The boy pretends he's asleep,

As he listens to the desperate woman

Weep...

"You don't love me." she says,

"No one will love me." she says,

Her voice hoarse in sorrow,

Eyes drenched with tears...

"Maybe I should kill myself so you could be happier, my dear."

Opening my eyes in a panic,

Stepping up to her door swiftly.

The floor cracks violently; startled.

Before I hear her being hushed,

Being told she was most loved and adored.

My fist grows tight, ready to target

But before I know it,

Her pity party arrives,

4am knows what happened,

5am knows I cried...

3am knows she got too drunk...

And 30 minutes later knows,

I didnt even try...
