"I'll see you later then." Peter said as he walked her to the front door.

"Sound good." She replied.

Peter waved as he swung away.

Dawn felt weird. Giddy. She loved this feeling.

As you should

What do you mean? She thought.

You should love the idea of love

Yeah. Yeah. I mean. I don't love Peter. I don't know what love is

The voice laughed

You shall see what it is

Dawn thought about it. Do you love me? She asked the hooded figure in her mind.

I think you'll find that it's quite the opposite of love at times

Oh. She didn't want to listen to it any longer.

"Buck. Bucky!" She called out into the empty room.

"Dawn! What wrong?" Steve asked as he came running to her.

"Nothing. Where is Bucky?" She asked as she sat down on the couch.

"He's.. somewhere." Steve replied.

Dawn narrowed her eyes at him. "Steve. Where. Is. He?"

Steve stood back a bit. "At the hospital."

"Oh?" She said standing up. "Did he not have a time at the hospital the other day?"

"Well. Yeah."

"So where is he?" She asked.

Steve looked at her once more as she was taking a step closer.

He didn't think twice.

He bolted.

Dawn chased him all around the tower. Through rooms. Up stairs... Everywhere

She finally cornered him.

"Steve. I just want you to tell me where he is."

Steve shook his head. "You know I can't do that."

"Why not?"

She was inches away from him.

"Okay. He's on a date. Bucky didn't want you to know."

"Oh." She said stepping back.

"Why didn't he want me to know?" She asked Steve.

"Reasons."

"What's her name?"

"Indi." Steve replied.

"Okay." She replied standing up and walking out.

"Oh. Also wanted to tell you that I'm going on a date tonight." She said poking her head around before disappearing.

"People these days." Steve muttered as he went to go find Thor.

"Hey Pete." Dawn said as she came down the stairs.

Peter was there looking extremely nervous as he was engaged in a conversation with Steve.

"Dawn." He breathed as he looked at her.

Dawn looked down at herself. She wasn't wearing anything special. Only something Natasha insisted was for a special occasion.
