Jodie sat in the doctor's office with Kira as he also had Nina with him. It had been two days and his sister had yet to get her or return any of Jodie's calls or text.

Kira sat there hoping and praying the blood sample showed that she was pregnant. She wanted to be with Jodie and she felt like it would help her get him back. Meanwhile Jodie felt the complete opposite, if Nina was any indication on how it would be to have kids Jodie knew he wasn't even close to ready for the shit.

Nina sat in Jodie's lap sleep, he had purposely wore her out before this appointment. In the mist of spending time with her he realized she wasn't bad, but a copycat. So he knew he just had to watch what came out his mouth.

The doctor walked in, knocking both Kira and Jodie out of their thoughts. "So the results came back."

Kira and Jodie both tuned in, ready for her to just say what it was. "And you are not pregnant. Your period is probably just late, it could be stress, or a hormonal imbalance, a lot of factors."

Jodie let out a breathe he didn't know he was holding. "Thank you," Jodie said with a small smile.

"Any questions?" She asked as she focused on Kira. Kira shook her head no, a range of emotions flowing through her. "Okay! Well you all have a good day." The doctor smiled as she left out.

Jodie stood up, readjusting Nina as her head was on his shoulder as he held her body in one arm against his. "Well I'm going to let you get dressed and head out."

"Can we talk?" She questioned.

Jodie sighed, "talk about what Kira?"

"Jodie I just need closure. Can we just go eat and talk and then I'll be out of your hair forever."

Jodie stood there and looked at her as he thought. "Okay Kira."

"Thank you," she gave a small smile as Jodie walked out, pulling out his phone to check for any missed calls or text from his sister, still nothing. He couldn't be stuck with a child. He just couldn't.

Jodie and Kira met at a little burger joint, Nina was now up and hungry so it was perfect timing.

"Uncle Jodie, who is that?" Nina tried to whisper as Kira neared the table a big smile on her face as she looked at Nina, she loved kids.

He chuckled, "don't worry about it. Nobody important, here," he pulled out his phone. "Keep yourself occupied."

She smiled big as she took it, quickly going to YouTube before Kira got to the table. She sat down across from Jodie and Nina with plans to somehow get Jodie back.

Jodie wasn't there for the games, he got right to it after the waiter took their drink orders and Nina's meal.

"What is it that you want to talk about?"

Kira sighed as she sat down the menu. "Jodie I feel like we ended so suddenly, like I know I got a little extreme with my trust issues and I'm sorry but I didn't want to lose you."

Jodie ran a hand over his face as he sighed. "Kira what are you getting at, why am I here?" He looked around making sure he didn't see anyone he knew.

"I want us to give it another shot."

Jodie shook his head. "I can't Kira, I'm hear to give you whatever closure you need but I'm not about to have that conversation with you."

"Why?" She questioned. "Why so suddenly? I feel like you broke up with me out of nowhere."

"There was always some type of problem, we were always going at it about some bullshit. And in the process I lost feelings. I didn't want to string you along so I ended it."
