Chapter 11

Maya's pov

It's been two days since the sacrifice and elijah has compelled me to stay in Rics apartment. I have talked to Katherine we have had a few laughs and we catched up a little bit but I'm still angry with elijah. Nil has been in his werewolf formation for two days and he's killed probably 50 people. Stefan came through to the apartment with a worried look on his face.

" Stefan" I hugged him " I've missed you so much"

" so have I" he hugged back " where's klaus"

" nik hasnt come home yet since he turned into a dog" I said coldly.

" I need to find him Damon beens bit by a werewolf" he told me

" what!" I cried " that could kill him. What are you doing here then?"

" the ancestors said that klaus has the cure" he told me

" wouldn't surprise me" I muttered.

I poured myself a drink of bourbon and took a sip of it.

" I'll have one" Katherine asked and I poured her one and gave her it " how many bottles did we go through of klaus bourbon "

" 4" I told her and she had a devilish smile

Klaus and elijah came through the doors and anger bubbled up in me.

" oh hunny your home I was getting worried" I said sarcastically and all he showed on his face was that annoying smirk.

" who said you could go through my supply of bourbon" nik asked

" who said you could sacrifice my best friend" I asked him and he just smirked again and then he looked at Stefan

" you just keep popping up don't you" nik said to Stefan

" I need your help with my brother" Stefan told him

" well you see I have an obligation with my brother which requires my immediate attention" nik turns his hand to elijah

" I hope you understand but my brother has made a promise to me to reunite me with our family" elijah told us

" and so I shall" nik put the dagger in elijah and just dropped him on the floor.

" no elijah!" I sped to him about to take out the dagger but nik grabbed me by both arms.

" I wouldn't do that if I were you love.
" he whispered in my ears low and seductive. I shoved him off me and he looked at Stefan and sped him to the wall

" hmm what am I going to do with you" nik asked him sticking the stake towards his heart.

" ahhhh" Stefan screamed out in pain

" nik stop it!" I told him

" feel that scraping against your heart the slightest movement and your dead" klaus threatened him

" he's just trying to help his brother" Katherine tried to talk to klaus.

" the ancestors said you had a cure" Stefan said " help our brother and we'll do anything

" trouble is I don't know if you two are any use to me the way you are now your just a shy of useless " he said drinking his blood

" I heard about this one vampire crazy bloke always in and off the wagon but when he was on he was magnificent. 1917 he went into monterrey and wiped out an entire migrant village... A true ripper. And maya 1898 you went to the Philippines and with one single call you destroyed a small town " he put my hair behind my ear.

" We haven't been that way in a very long time "I told him

" Well those are the poeple I can make a deal that is the kind of talent I need when I leave this town. Katerina come here " he lift out his hand and Katerina slowly took it and he bit it.

" no! no! no! " Katherine cried.

Klais but into his wrist and made Katherine drink his blood then the bit Mark rapidly healed like she had never even got bit.

" your blood is the cure " Stefan said

" gotta love mother nature" he smirked at me " now let's talk all of us after all we are family"

We sat down and he cut his hand and put some blood in a small glass container.

" there it is want to save your brother how about a decade long bender" he smirked at me " you know I have big plans for you Stefan when we leave town"

" I'm not like that anymore" he said with no emotion in his face

" well that's a shame you would of made a hell of a wing man" he said dropping the blood down the sink and I gave a worried look to Stefan

" wait" Stefan said and nik stopped pouring the drink down the sink

" now that's more I like it. I want you to join me for a drink" he slid a blood bag across to Stefan

" want one love" he asked sliding a blood bag to me and I started to drink it because I hadn't had any blood for two days and I needed some. Stefan hesitantly drank it and I was so worried about him.

Stefan was on the floor drinking his blood bags and it was just me and him on the table and I started to hear the voices again and when I hear voices what leads next is headaches and nik knew I was in pain.

" are you okay?" he asks

" I'm fine" I said simply

" why didn't you tell him" nik asked " that I knew him in 1920?"

" it wasn't my story to tell you can be the one to tell him you compelled him to forget him and rebekah... Who I assume is still rotting in a wooden box" I told him

" yeah she is. I am curious though when we met you said you were a Carter then when Stefan showed up you two acted like you never met before" he asked

" I changed my name because of what I did do that town I never meant to and I found out my brothers were trying to find me and I needed to be away from them to be on my own for a while so I changed my name to Carter then when Stefan showed up I asked to act like we never met before and because he thought I was happy with you he did. Even in his darkest place he will still do anything for me " I told him.

" if you were happy with me why did you leave me? " he asked
