Chapter 60

Maya's pov

I was with bonnie making sure she was ready for the spell because last time Nik came in he scared her. He needs to work on his people skills. I heard a scream coming from the dining room.

" bonnie... erm... just stay her and work the spell I'm going to see who there torturing today" I said and she just nodded. I remember a time in my life when that sentence would of sounded weird to me.

I walked to the dining room and Nik was outside of it about to walk in

" so who are you torturing today" I asked and he just smirked

" in my defence love I didn't bring him rebekah caught him" Nik smiled

" him? Nik who is he?" I asked confused

" why don't you take a look for yourself" he moved from the door and I opened in and there was no table no chair just Damon dangling from chains.

" rebekah" I moaned and she look a bit guilty at first " your gonna get blood on the floor"

" nice to see you too sister" he said dazed and rebekah got a knife out

" I might have to cut the vervain out of you. I think I might have to go for the main arteries" she then started to cut around his neck. his chest and neck were now bleeding and that's when Nik came in.

" trying to bleed him from vervain... You might try turning him upside down" Nik suggested

" this is my plaything Nik not yours" she said

" fine it's not like I have any expertise in torture" Nik smiled

" im going to see how well bonnie is doing" I said and I was about to walk out

" are you okay" he asked

I Looked at Damon and then I looked at him and rebekah and I lightly smiled and lied " yeah I'm fine"

" Are you sure" he asks and all I see is pure concern in his eyes which made me smile. I kissed him and smiled again " I'm sure"

I went out the room and went to bonnie and I sat down not speaking.
I didn't even realise but a year dropped down my eye.

" hey, what's wrong" bonnie asked

" there never going to get along are they? My brothers wanting kill him and Nik wanting to kill my brothers. Is there always going to be a war? I just don't know how long I can do this. I don't want this baby to grow up like this always wondering if he'll ever see his dad again. "I told her

" your not worried about them liking each other " bonnie said" your worried that one day your going to have to choose between klaus and his family and your family "

" fine, maybe I am " I said quietly.

For a couple of hours of preparing bonnie was ready to do the spell.
She finally unlinked the siblings and I let bonnie out and Damon was still chained up.

Moments later Stefan came into the house and me, Nik and rebekah followed.

" oh good... A hero" Nik smiled " what do you want?"

Stefan threw the bag on the floor and said " I'm here to make a deal"

" Stefan what are you doing?" Damon asked quietly

" give me my brother and you can have the 8 steaks that can kill you" Stefan said in a cold tone

" that's impossible" rebekah said

" actually it's not" Stefan replied back in a bitter tone " fin's dead"

" you killed my brother? " rebekah asked

" how can I be sure there's no more steaks left" klaus asked

" because there aren't any" Stefan said coldly again

" well let's be certain" Nik walked to Damon

" Nik" I said but then I got cut off when Nik compelled Damon

" go home" he compelled Damon and Damon moaned in pain from trying to get out of the chains. Stefan looked away and I just stood there.

" OK stop, stop before you hurt yourself" klaus mirked " Well exleast we know you can be compelled now minus the one that's in my brother how many more steaks are there that can kill me and my family" klaus compelled him

" 11" he whispered quietly

" 11! So not 8" klaus looked at Stefan

" you really shouldn't of lied" rebekah said

" guys stop" I said

" I'll get you the other three " Stefan said ignoring me

" yeah that would be nice. Or maybe since you lied I'll compel your brother to chew out his own tongue then he won't break maya's heart" klaus hissed

" what is the matter with you" Stefan asked

" what is the matter with you? Do you really have no appreciation for me? I have given you a target for your anger so you don't have to turn it on yourself as your friend. I haven't tore out your liver for what you did to maya" Nik shouted

" guys stop" I said louder

" really you should be thanking me" and on that Stefan shoves him to the wall with a steak to his heart and I couldn't take it any more. I just wanted to scream so I did.

" I said stop" I shouted and I screamed and everyone dropped to the floor in pain this was the most powerful I've been. My scream broke the chains off so Damon was free and he just dropped to the floor. I finally stopped and I dropped to the floor I needed to rest for a minute.

" im sorry.. I didn't mean to" I said to rebekah and Nik I looked at Damon and I bit into my wrist and gave him some of my blood. I snapped his neck and he fell to the floor.

" bring the other 3 steaks take him as a sign of good will... Now get the hell out" I told them and I just sped out to our room and I just breathed in and out until I calmed down.

Minutes later Nik came in and I couldn't look at him I hurt him. I was on the edge of my bed and he came to me and knelt down to me.

" hey look at me" and I finally looked at him " what was that about? You only get like that if your stressed or if your scared"

" im both, scared and stressed. With this war that's constantly going on i know someday I'm going to have to choose between you and your family and my family and friends. I'm going to lose one family and I'm just not sure I can deal with that" I told him

" I'll always love you maya and nothibg could ever change that. I am sorry its just I really want to make them pay for what they did to you. They hurt my queen and I wanted to hurt them." Nik told me and I kissed him passionately
