(Marinette's POV)
I jolt up, coughing badly.
My heart was beating fast and wildly, and I was sweating.
I put my hand on my heart, trying to understand where I am, but to no avail.
I breathe in and out short ragged breaths, terrified.
I had another nightmare, and I can't tell if it was better or worse than my last one.
Who am I kidding? It was definitely worse.
Cat Noir died...
But did I? Or did I just black out?
"You are going...going...gone."
It was that moment when Heartbreaker's voice ran through my head, I realized I was in a hospital room.
Then it couldn't have been a dream! It was real! Cat Noir is dead...
He's dead...
After all the times he's saved me, the one time he needed me most I let him down.
I let my kitty down because I was too weak, right?
I'm weak. Why am I Ladybug again?
Why would Master Fu choose me? Even Chloè would be a better Ladybug.
She just wouldn't look better in costume.
Tears run down my face like waterfalls.
I then scream, because it was my fault Cat is dead.
My fault.
Suddenly two nurses burst into the room.
"What's wrong?! Are you alright?" One with light brown hair and wide eyes exclaim.
"He's dead..." I sobbed, covering my face.
"Who, miss?" The other one with blonde hair asked.
"Cat Noir...he's dead because of me.." I manage to choke out.
"Calm down, it was probably a bad dream." The nurse with brown hair says, in a soothing tone.
"THEN WHERE IS HE, HUH?! CAN YOU EXPLAIN THAT?!" I screamed at them angrily.
"H-he probably doing super hero things or sleeping. It is 3 A.M. in t-the morning, after all." She replied.
"You're a smart nurse," I retorted sarcastically to her.
She frowns and turns around when there's a knock on the door.
The blonde nurse opens the door to reveal a cute boy with blonde hair and electric green eyes in a very attractive black leather cat-themed suit.
"C-cat?" I whisper.
They nurse's back away like he's dangerous as he walks in.
He sits next to me on the bed and hugs me tightly. I hug him back just as tight, not wanting to let him go.
"You're alive," I whisper in his cat ear. "You didn't leave me."
He pulls away and smiles.
"I'd never leave my Purrincess, he would spoil her then?" He smirks.
We fell into a comfortable silence before he looks at me with sad eyes.
"Why....why did you think I was dead?" He finally asked.
