Outsiders (DBH Connor x vampire!OC)

Chapter 1

Seeing Connor became a daily recurrence for her. She worked on some cases, sometimes asking lieutenant Anderson for advice on particular hard cases. This also means the opinion of Connor on the case.

At the start, when Connor first arrived, most officers bristled at the idea that an android, a detective android no less, was coming to take their jobs.
But Faith didn't fear for her job. She secretly supported the deviant cause, trying to talk Connor into becoming one without being too direct. Too obvious.

Now, a few months later, the revolution happened and president Warren has given androids basic rights.
Markus is still fighting for equality of his people in comparison to the humans, and Faith knows that he will get what he is fighting for.

Of course, this doesn't mean that androids aren't attacked and killed in the streets by Anti-Android Protestors (AAP for short). And that is why everyone gets android cases now too, and it isn't all going to Connor and Hank.

Connor was a special case. Became deviant during the revolution, Markus seemed to have had the right influence on Connor's decision of shooting or not shooting him.
Connor was able to free thousands of androids within Cyberlife's making the tables turn for the better.
He was gone for a while, being part of the Jericho leaders since he played a vital part in the revolution turning successful.

Coming back to the DPD was his wish, but he feared he wasn't allowed back, hence the reason he looked so nervous when walking in with Hank.
Captain Fowler congratulated the RK800 on the revolution and asked if he wanted to stay.
Fowler would pull some strings so Connor could have this as a job, getting paid too.
This overwhelmed Connor and saline tears dripped down his eyes, rolling over his cheeks.
Fowler hugged him and welcomes him back.

That was a few months ago. At the DPD, Faith has been working on a case that turned out to be more complex than it first seemed.

"Connor, Hank, could you come over please?" She asks them, not looking up from the file she is looking into, going over evidence and old cases turned cold. The person was never caught who mutilated victims beyond recognition.
He only seems to have turned to androids too, if the evidence is lining up.

She hears footsteps walking closer.
"yes detective Lewis?" Connor asks as he sits down at the edge of the desk.
It's a trait of his, if he feels comfortable around the person.

"First of, it's Faith. It's okay to be informal when it comes to my name."
Hank chuckled at that, knowing that Connor will keep calling her 'detective Lewis' for a while.
"Second, Hanks do you remember the cold case dubbed Smith's, after the first victim?"

Faith looks up expectantly. Hank nods, face grim.
"Good, Connor have you looked up the information?" He nods.

"Okay, then I need your opinions on this because either my mind is playing tricks on me, or this is a for more serious case than planned."

Faith opens the case file on her screen and let the duo read it over.
Hank starts looking even more grim, going as far as to sigh heavily and shaking his head.
Connor's LED is still circling yellow, still processing.

"You better tell Fowler. You need more people in the team than yourself on this case."

"It seems that the attack is brutal in his ways of killing his victims. The method is identical to the case file you showed us. I cross-referenced the victims with each other but I can't find a connections" Connor adds to the conversation.

" He always picks random people off the streets. We never found a connection between them. Samsle as I can't find a connection between the androids tha ..." Faith stops speaking mid sentence, " wait a second."

Faith turns around and spots detective Gavin Reed at his desk. Walking of to him, she calls for him.
"Hey, Reed!" He looks up annoyed.
"What do you want?"
"You remember these murders that happened at random that you haven't found the killer of yet?"
"Is this your way of telling me to work?" There is a bite in his voice.

"No, send them over to me. I think I have something."
