Faith stays with North for a long while. North sharing the messages she gets from Connor, Markus, Simon and Josh about her situation.
"Connor says Hank and Reed are going back to the station. He is going to stay here because he thinks it is unsafe to leave you alone."
"He is unsafe around me."
North, previously reading a book, snaps her head up.
"Why is that?"
"They know a lot of things. It is my fault he is unsafe near me. The more we spend time together, the more he gets to be in danger."
"You almost make me pressure you into telling me what happened. Almost. But I know you'll tell me once you are ready for it."
Faith lays back down on the couch when a knock sounds through the door.
"It's us, Simon and Markus. No one else is on the floor at the moment." North gets up and opens the door, investigating if they tell the truth.
The door opens wider when she confirms their words, letting the two in her room before closing the door again.
"Are you okay?" Simon sits down at the end of the seat Faith is laying on, he allows her feet on his lap.
"I'm not going to lie. I feel... Bad, guilty, hurt. And that is solely an understated description of how it feels."
They drop the subject and just talk.
Until Connor sends them all a message.
"He is worried about you. Wants to be sure you are okay and safe." Simon says carefully.
"You can't hide here forever."
Faith closes her eyes slowing her breathe to barely noticable while shaking her head.
"Is he able to feel?" She asks, eyes still closed, voice silent and soft.
"He is deviant, therefore he feels."
"Didn't mean that. Does he feel. Or is it pressure that gives the idea to feel? Are there sensations when he touches something or someone or is it just pressure, heat reading, texture analysing? Same for when he is touched."
"Depends if he has updated his system and allowed the new update in. It wasn't obligatory to take the update when updating his system. Why?" Markus asks.
"You are making things more complicated." North says, knowing what Faith is trying to figure out.
"He feels, if that eases your mind." Simon adds in quickly.
"It doesn't. But thank you Simon."
"How do you know that?" Markus asks his boyfriend.
"Look at him when he touches something or is being touched. It is almost obvious."
Faith tunes out of the conversation going on, deep in though she accidentally drifts off to sleep.
