"How are you able to be around people?"
Faith rolls her eyes at that question.
"I am not a monster, you know. I am civilised. I don't attack before thinking. I keep myself fed so I don't feel hungry. That has the result of me being more tolerating towards scents."Hank looks more confused and terrified by the second.
"Do you still really want to know?" She asks him.
"More than ever, yes. I am confused.""I am a vampire. I have been roaming this earth for a good 500 years or so."
Hanks starts laughing, one of the reactions that Faith has anticipated on.
"Look in my fridge, you'll see the truth there."Hank looks unsure but gets up to look. Cursing and stumbling backwards when he sees the blood bags located there.
"You were serious?"
"Pretty much, yeah."
"And Fowler knows and is using this against you?"
She nods, looking back at the case she has made a timeline of. Just to focus on something else."He is misusing his position as captain as does he intimidate you verbally. You could file a complaint." Connor says, looking at Faith with curiosity.
"Yeah, no, not going to happen. It might be a better thing to shout what I am then. No thanks."Connor's LED whirls between yellow and red before settling on yellow. He is still processing information.
"Where do you get these bags from?" Hank looks over to the fridge while voicing his question.
"I am far from the only vampire here in Detroit. There is an underground organisation that does business with the hospital. They buy the blood and sells it for a fair price. They give a maximum based on your job. You get enough for at least a month. They always add an extra week worth, just in case something unexpected happens.""That is smart and efficient working of them." Connor remarks.
Faith nods, looking back at the two people seated in her living room."How does Fowler know about you?"
"He found me, starving in the gutter. I was attacked by a group that wants me, yet I always refuse. So I was terribly wounded, lost a lot of blood too, so yeah. I was starving. It is a wonder I didn't attack him when he knelt down next to me and looked me over. He nursed me back to health with the bags I had left, running low since it wasn't the first time something similar happened the same month. He offered me the job to start over. So I took it."
"And now he is using it against you. I might need to talk to him tomorrow when I have the chance." Hank notifies.
"So, when Conn warned you and Reed about the body, he actually warned you about the amount of blood, didn't he?"
"Yeah he did."
Hank nods approvingly."Well thank you for sharing this, even if it were under slight pressure."
"You're welcome."
"I'm off, my bed is calling for me and Sumo needs fresh water. Connor you coming?""I actually still have some questions, detective."
"Only if you call me Faith."
"Okay, dete...Faith."
"I'll take you with me to work in the morning. Hank, I'll take care of him. I promise."
