The drive there is fast, North awaits the two at the parking lot. Connor has notified them beforehand that they would be coming.
"Good evening, isn't it a little late for you, detective Lewis." Something in her eyes tells her she knows.
"Nah, it isn't." Faith winks.
"I should talk to Markus, maybe you, Simon and Josh too since you are the inner circle."
"Markus is in the meeting room, follow me. I'll let Josh and Simon know they are needed too."
Faith nods and follows the female android to the meeting room in New Jericho.
Faith gets stared at by a few others that are lingering in the entrance and hallways.
"What does that do here?" Someone even spits in disgust. She ignores it.
They take the stairs and take a left.
North opens a door and walks in. Faith and Connor follow. Markus and Simon are already in the room, Josh walks in after Connor and closes the door.
"Must be a delight to be able to stay in a room without getting overwhelmed, isn't it?" North says.
"How about exposing me all together, no?" Faith quips back in good nature.
"I don't think you are here for your condition, isn't it detective Lewis." Markus calming voice interjects.
"That is indeed true, and you can call me Faith."
North snorts.
Josh looks at her in disappointment.
"What, she is a vampire called Faith. Isn't that ironic?"
"Very, can I now please explain why I am here?" Faith asks, not feeling up to being in the center of North's remarks.
The female shuts her mouth and motions to talk.
"9 years ago a serial killer started killing people. We never found out who it was. It turned in a cold case. Lately we have keep getting murders and we can't find the killer.
I pieced it together, taking victims of android nature within my calculation. The killer doesn't care for the species it is, as long as it looks okay to him or her. They have a pattern. Brunette, blond, black haired female, red haired male."
"Where are you getting at?" North asks, breaking Faith's story.
"If you would now kindly shut up so I can finish why I am telling this so detailed." Faith looks at North, eyes once again tinted red because of frustration.
"He kills every 11 days. After the pattern there is a 2 month break before it starts again. I believe he kidnaps the person first and kills him or her later on. Androids aren't safe either. I want you to warn everyone you can that they have to be careful."
"You mean that we could be targeted?" Markus asks.
"Not specifically. It's more that the attack has a pattern and when he needs someone in that pattern he just takes who he needs. They don't specifically target New Jericho."
"Can you say the pattern again, please?" Markus asks.
"Brunette, female; blond, male; black haired female; red haired male."
Markus looks up at Simon.
"I'm sorry, I wish I could've catched them already so everyone was safe."
"Do you have a suspect?" Josh asks.
"No, they leave no fingerprints, no scent. They are very careful. There is no connection between the locations the victims are killed."
"You could be a target too." Markus says.
"Of that I am well aware. And I hope they catch me, so I can ends this. But I might not be a target because I am at the DPD and on the news regularly."
"Should we go in hiding?" Simon asks.
"No, just be sure that when you are outside, you are not alone. I would hate to get a call saying you are missing to have your body show up days later."
He takes Markus' hand, some fear visible on his face.
"If it is any consolation, I am doing my utmost best to catch them. I use up my private hours to look for clues. I want to find this asshole."
"Thank you." Markus says, still holding Simon's hand in his.
"We'll take out leave now. Please call me if there is something suspicious or someone is missing."
"We will. Thank you for warning us."
"Of course."
The walk to the exit is a bit more peaceful than the walk in. Chance are that is because all the leaders walk with them.
"Safe journey home."
"Thank you, you all, stay safe okay!"
They nod.
Faith and Connor step in the car and she drives them back to her house.
