Outsiders (DBH Connor x vampire!OC)

Chapter 2

Not waiting for an answer, Faith walks back to her desk where both Hank and Connor look curious and expectantly.
"Let me check this first. I'll tell you my train of thought after I either confirmed it or not."
A mail pops up with file information on a few murders over the past few months, even from before the revolution.
Checking the dates and method of murder, she starts writing things down on paper. Connor looks fascinated, Hank looks proud. It is a rarity that someone uses paper and pen to write things down. Everything is digital now.

"A shit." The curse word leaves Faith's mouth without a second thought.
"You are on to something, aren't you?"
She ignores him, opening the cold case file and checking the dates of them.

All of them have exactly eleven days between them. Starting with a brunette, a blond, black haired female, red haired male. It all comes back full circle.
"Shit. God fudging damn it!" She takes a deep breath and tries to calm down before everything goes wrong.
"Start talking kid."
"They are connected and there is a pattern." The black haired, violet eyed detective looks up at the two at her desk.
"They are goddamn connected. The same killer. Not a copycat."

At the first curse, Gavin has looked up, intrigued. At the second short flow of curses he gets up and walks to her desk.
"How are these connected?"
She looks up, disturbed from her thoughts before looking at the three people in front of her.
"Eleven days between the murders. A brunette, a blond, a black haired female, red haired male. All the same method of killing."

"Can't be right. The humans have a whole different order."
Faith gives Gavin the look that tells him he is being stupid. Getting up she walks to the glass door that is the entrance of Captain Jeffrey Fowler's glass office. She knocks and opens the door.
"This better be important." Fowler mumbles, not looking up.
"We are dealing with the Smith case serial killer."

Fowler drops his pen and looks up. "He hasn't been active in what? 9 years?"
"There is a pattern, a link between them." The door opens and Faith looks behind her. Lieutenant Anderson, Connor and detective Reed walk in.

"We're curious for the full story instead of the short version." Hank explains as he sits down.
She rolls her eyes and looks back at her boss.
"I'm listening."

"First Mrs. Sara Smith was found. The only one that we could truly determine that was the first victim. She was a brunette. Next up must was Mr. Jones Richards, blond. Following victim was Ms. Mave McGallerd, she had black hair. Last of that series was Mr. Lucien Aeker, red hair.
Between each of these victims were eleven days."
"We found a pile of bodies. We could only estimate the date of decease. How did you get the eleven days."
"I'll get there. Bear with me. Two months later, he started again. Mrs Summers, Mr Hamond, Mrs Kanton, Mr Rose. Eleven days between them. Brunette, blond, black, red. Female, male, female, male. Two month break. I can almost know I will find the same pattern in other cases that are unsolved. Now recently there have been murders like this happening. The android case I am working on, the human case Reed is working on. Combine them and you get this result. Ms Jeffreys, Sam male android model, Laurence, female android model, Mr Coles. Eleven days. Brunette, blond, black, red. Two month break. Clary female android model, Mr Jackson, Ms Higter, Mr Braek. Eleven days in between. These were the late victims. We are now exactly 2 months later. The victim we will find today will be a female with brown hair. Eleven days later we will find a male blond. He or she never stopped. They kept going, but they started to hide it differently so we wouldn't find the pattern. Wouldn't link the victims."

Hank whistles between his teeth, "we got a serious case, Jeff."
When the captain starts speaking he sounds exhausted, "If you don't mind it, Hank, Faith will lead this case."
"Is only fair, she found the links, the connection, the pattern."
"You and Connor will be on the team, as are Reed and Miller. You can recruit more officers if you need them. Report every day on the progress." Faith nods.

"Everyone please leave, Faith we have to go over something."
She groans and sits down in front of the captain's desk.
