Outsiders (DBH Connor x vampire!OC)

Chapter 34

Gavin has taken all Connor's shifts to listen to Faith.
The detective doesn't want Connor to hear what his girlfriend is going through. He would break together with her.

This results is him taking extra hours, extra shift. He barely sleeps, even when it isn't his turn to listen. He knows the torture she is going through and it only gets worse.

When he walks back in to take over after Simon's shift, he looks taken back. The android looks on the verge of breaking down. Gavin, to everyone's surprise, hugs him close.
"I know. I know."
And so he also takes Simon's shifts.

"Reed, you have been in there for almost 8hours straight. I brought you coffee and something light to eat." Hank walks in at the moment Faith begging turns desperate.

"Stop please. No more. No more. I'll listen to you. I'll follow your rules. I'll obey. I'll be your pet. Master please."

Gavin is out the door before Hank can even process what he just heard.

Her voice sounds hoarse, like sandpaper.
Yet she doesn't call out for us.
Did she forgot about the microphone?

"Not yet my precious. I missed you for too long to stop right now."

Silence

"How's your hand?"
Faith doesn't answer. The next sound is a sickening crack and screaming.
A door closes.

And then silence. No sound at all. No breathing, no moving. Nothing.
"Did he kill her?"
Gavin stands there with the captain behind him.

"I don't know." Hank keeps looking at the receiver in shock.
"How long does Perkins want to keep this going? We have a confession. She has been in there for weeks now Jeffrey. She is loosing it. Connor is a broken person. He is smart. He knows why Gavin has taken over his shifts."

"Perkins wants her to stop it."
"I don't even think she knows there is a microphone anymore."
Fowler nods. "I'll call him, tell him to get the team ready."

Before the captain can leave, they hear a pleading voice. "Please end this. No more. I can't. No more."

"We're leaving." Hank is out the door, calling Markus to get ready to come along.
Fowler is calling. The whole precinct is acting now. They know what is going on. They heard the noises coming from the room when someone left or entered.

The prepare to be back up.
"Perkins and the team is leaving now. He send me the location. We're leaving."

Driving to the remote locating, they ignored every law there is to get there fast.

There is already chaos going on when they arrive. Markus, North and Josh are watching. Unsure if they can enter safely or not.

It takes too long for the DPD agents before the FBI agents have cleared everything out.

"We didn't open the door per Perkins orders. She is inside." An agent says.

"We'll go in. We don't know what state she is in." North says as she starts walking inside. Her face doesn't betray her anger towards the vampire that hurt her friend.

She commands every human to leave the room. It's when she, Markus and Josh are the only ones left, that she opens the door.

What she sees, makes her fall to her knees.
