Opening her eyes she is met with brown ones.

"You did something dangerous," he says. Worry and anger in his voice.
"I did this so we could connect. So I could trust you with my past. That we can connect on a deeper level." The pain is gone and she feels well, so she sits up.

"What if you died while getting these?"
"It takes a lot more to get me killed." she hugs Connor close, feeling the fight leave his body.
"You want to try?" she asks, holding up her hand.

Hesitant Connor reveals his white plating underneath his synthetic skin. She smiles and takes his hand gently in hers.
The information is too much, too fast. She winces.
Connor seems to feel her pain and slows it all down, halts it so she can process it.

Better?

Yeah.

Slowly Connor shares his love for her, his thoughts, his emotions. It leaves Faith in tears.
Still crying, the memories of how she fell for him, her feelings for him, are shared over the link.
A press of lips against her. She feels it, yet also how Connor experiences it. It feels addicting. Like she never wants to stop feeling this.

It's Connor we reluctantly pulls back. "Hank was called to the station, asked if we could come too as soon as possible."
Faith nods and gets up with Connor's help.
They keep standing close for a moment, still connected to each other.

"This feeling is addictive." Faith whispers, pressing her lips to Connor's hand.
"Not only for you. I feel how you feel as a human."
"Don't compare everything to that of humans. I perceive things differently most of the times."

Connor nods.
"We have to leave." Yet he still doesn't move, mesmerized with the things he reads through the link.

Faith slowly breaks the connection, feeling the pressure of a possible head ache coming up.
She blinks a few times with her eyes, coming down from the connection again.

"We'll have to leave." She whispers, taking Connor's hand in hers and pulling him along.

"Does Hank know you were going to do this?"

"No, I just asked him to keep you busy for the day, that I needed to do something important and I didn't want you to know. He didn't want to do it. He doesn't like lying to you. So I told him it was a surprise for you, but it took some preparation. He still seemed reluctant but agreed."

Getting in the car, she sees Connor thinking. "Don't overthink it, dear, I convinced him until he agreed. If he knew he would've said no."

The drive to work is silent, Connor keeps thinking, if his yellow whirling LED is an indication.

She parks the car and gets out, takes Connor's hand in hers as they walk to their desks.
"I love you. That's why I did it." She says, this seems to do the trick because Connor visibly relaxes and his LED turns blue.

"I love you too."

The smile is still on Faith's face when she arrives at Hank's desk.
