Chapter 23

-----------Erika's POV-----------

I looked over at Maddie, bundled in Joe's arms. Looking quite cute of I'm being completely honest. They were so close. They were more like brother and sister than cousins. Maddie looked quite worried and upset. So I decided to text her

'Madds. You okay?xx'

'Not really. I need to go see Charlie soon though, I need his help xx'

'With?xx'

'Just things, it don't matter Eri. I'll explain everything later, promise xxx'

'Okay. I'll talk to you soon xxx'

She nodded at me and stood up

"I'm just going to go to Charlie's. I left my phone charger there" she said

"Okay Maddie. See you soon" my mum said. Maddie smiled at her and left.

------------Maddie's POV-------------

I left the house and put my earphones in. Well, one in, one out. It wasn't completely a lie what id told my mum. I had left my phone charger at Charlie's. I walked down my street onto the main road which I normally walked on. I walked through the park where we all usually hung out. And decided to text Charlie I would be 5 minutes

-------------Charlie's POV-------------

I was sat on Instagram when I had a text from Maddie

'Coming round for a bit be round in 5 mins xxx😘'

I quickly typed back

'Okay, love you xxx😍😘💕'

She replied

'See you soon love you tooooooooooo' what the hell?

-------------Maddie's POV---------------

I was crossing the road to get to Charlie's estate. I looked one way, and looked the other. I looked back at my phone and started to cross I started to type back to Charlie

'See you soon love you too' as I typed the last 'o' I felt a sudden pain in the side of my chest. Then all over my body. I opened my eyes for a moment, I looked at Brooke leaving the estate looking at me, tears pouring down her cheeks, my smashed phone on the other end of the road. And a car hovering over me

"Go get Charlie" I murmured to Brooke. Brooke ran back to the estate. Then everything went black. From then. I remember nothing.
