Chapter 41 -memories

-----------Maddie's POV-----------

I ran up the stairs and fell behind the door. Tears streaming down my face. I couldn't pretend to be strong infront of my sister. i slowly stood up and locked my door. then my phone buzzed

'@erikamaebaker__x: this photo was in the summer last year when we were in cyprus with family, I can't believe what's happened in the space of 2 days for us and I couldn't apologise enough for how mean and selfish i have been to you, my own twin sister. I'm sorry for what i've driven you to Madds. Have fun in Chelsea.. you deserve such a better sister than you got. I'm sorry Maddie. I love you xx @madeleinebaker' 

I felt my heart break into millions of little pieces as loads more instagram notifications came through. I ran downstairs and ran to the park. probably the worst place i could have gone. too many memories, like me trying to chase Darcy because she said i was ugly with no makeup, jokingly of course, discussing prom dresses with Tamsin, long and deep conversations with Ella, picnics with Emily, walks with Erika. kisses and cuddles with Charlie under the big willow tree. then a memory dawned on me

the christmas market with Darcy, we bought so many little and pointless things christmas eve and we went to this antique little bookshop style cafe and she got whipped cream on my nose and we got some randomer to take a photo of us and when we posed he thought we were completely insane then we met up with Ella and Tamsin and we just did all kinds of stupid best friend things. All of these memories. gone. 

i sat on one side of the old willow tree me and Charlie used to sit at. i plugged my earohones and taylor swift blasted through. great way to not make me thing of Charlie

'but now i'll go sit on the floor wearing your clothes

all that i know is i don't know, how to be something you'll miss

never thought we'd have a last kiss

never imagined we'd end like this

just like our last kiss' 

i tried not to cry, but it was no use. the tears just flowed out of me like a rivee. but i was stopped by a familiar sigh of sobs. I turned round to see a pair of beautiful blue eyes crying too

''Charlie?'' I said, Charlie turned round and stared at my hair, my makeup, everything, i wiped away my tears

''Maddie i'm so sorry'' he said ''I didn't realise they were all trying to make you jealous, and Emily in on a plan to split us up.. Erika didn't realise it either.. Maddie i'm sorry'' he blurted out. my tears just poured out again 

''Charlie.. I-I can't forgive you.. and i know you know that'' i said ''I just don't.. think I can.. i need to go Charlie. i'm sorry'' i blurted before running away

''Maddie...'' he said. i quickly turned around

''yeah?'' i asked

''I love you'' he said

''I love you too'' i nodded running away.. i couldn't believe that was it..

oh god.. Will Maddie ever accept Charlie's apology? what about Erika's? will the others apologise?
