Chapter 37

---------------Charlie's POV--------------

October 5th

It was official. Maddie was back to normal. She hadn't been at school though. She came in for the first day to get her timetable for 10 minutes. Then left. It was Friday and I hadn't seen her all week. I walked back to Maddie's with Darcy. Erika had gone for a photo shoot because her mum wanted her to get into that sort of modelling industry. We knocked on the door and Maddie came to the door

"Hey hey hey" Darcy said hugging her

"Hey Darc" Maddie said hugging her.

"Hey Madeleine" I said hugging her

"CHARLIE" she shouted hugging me back

"How's your leg?" Darcy asked sitting down

"Back to normal now. I could have been back at school this week but my mum wanted me to rest. I still have to do these exercises and stuff. But I can still dance. Which is all good." She explained.

"Oh that's good. So you can do Irish this year" Darcy said. Maddie nodded excitedly.

Maddie loved dancing. And I know how much she would be disappointed if she couldn't do it anymore. She'd danced since she was 4 and it's what she wanted to do when she was older. Well. She wanted to act aswell.

---------------Darcy's POV-----------------

I kept glancing at Maddie's arms and legs. Some cuts had scabbed over and some had turned into white scars. There didn't look to be any new ones which was good.

"Maddie. Me, Tamsin and Ella thought about this. And we asked Charlie to make it happen. Look" I said handing her an envelope. She opened it and her eyes widened

"OH MY GOD DARCY!!" She shouted. "You seriously got me an audition" she said

"Well. Charlie got you it" I said. Somehow we managed to get her an audition for street dance 3. It combined the 2 things she wanted to do more than the world. Dancing. And acting.

"Oh my god Thankyou" she said pulling us into a hug

¥¥¥ 5 months later ¥¥¥

No one at school had seen Maddie or Erika in months. 4 and a half months to be exact. Everyday Charlie and Leo checked their twitter, Instagram, Facebook. Everything.

Maddie got the Role for street dance and Erika managed to model for some teenage thing

"Charlie. Erika's tweeted" Tamsin said

'@ErikaMae_XO: good day watching my sister @MaddieBaker_X filming with @AkaiOfficial today, can't wait to see the film. Looks sick x'

"Maddie's put something on Instagram aswell" Ella said hanging Charlie her phone

@MadeleineBaker: love my best friend @HannaCarter 💕 xxx' the photo was captioned

"Ooh Darcy. You've been replaced" Emily mocked

"no I haven't! They're going to come back. And when they do everything will be back to normal! Okay!" I said standing up

"DARCY SIT DOWN MADDIE'S TWEETED" Tamsin shouted

"She still talks to Luke? None of us see him" Ella said

"Yeah she does. And I do too. She's moved to orchard school" I replied

"Seriously? I've not spoken to Luke in months" Charlie said

"Nah. Barely anyone has. He's mr popular there though. Apparently" Tamsin said

"And you know this how?" Ella said

"My cousin goes there" Tamsin replied "Morgan says that Luke has been using the fact he's friends with Maddie and he went out with Erika as his claim to fame there. Apparently he's so stuck up his own arse it's unreal" she laughed

"He was stuck up his arse here" Ella said

"True" Charlie said

"He'll be stuck up his own arse anywhere he goes" Ella went on to say.

------------Maddie's POV------------

A week after filming had finished me and Erika were back at school. I walked into English and was greeted by a familiar black haired girl "MADDIE!!" She shouted. I was pounced on by the familiar smell of raspberry shampoo as her hair brushed against my face

"Hi Tam" I said. Wow she looked different. Her black hair now just above her waist, her chocolate brown eyes had turned into dark chocolate orbs with a touch of green. Her nose and helix pierced and her lips lighter than they had ever been before.

"Hey Madds" a voice said. Even Ella looked different. In fact they all did.

Ella's hair now had more layers and was just under her shoulders her facial featured had morphed into a beautiful 16 year old girl.

Darcy's hair and gone an even more strawberry blonde and my best friend had transformed into the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. As she walked over to me the scent of milk and papaya oil from her hair filled my nose "hey superstar" she said

"Hey Darc" I smiled pulling her into a hug. As we stopped hugging I skimmed the room to see the face i'd to see for 6 months.

He was still the same. Same ocean blue eyes. Beautiful blonde hair in the perfect quiff. The same smile. Same dimples. Same everything. He got up and walked over to me

"Maddie?" He said

"It's me Charl" I said to him. His eyes started to water. He smiled and pulled me into a hug

"I've missed you so much" he said

"I've missed you too" I said putting my head on his shoulder

"Madds?" Emily said. I smiled and turned round to see the only Emily Evans in the classroom doorway. She was exactly the same. Brown shoulder length hair. Emerald green eyes. Perfect hair style and perfect makeup. She was still perfect. Perfect as she'd always been.

"Hey Emmy" I smiled pulling her into a tight hug

"You're never leaving again right?" Charlie asked me. I broke apart from my hug with Emily and turned to him

"You've got me for 4 months. Then a certain group of people are coming to a premiere with me" I smiled at all of them

"OH MY GOD" Ella shouted running over to me.

-------------Charlie's POV-------------

I was invited to the premiere of the film? Oh god. Before the teacher came in Everyone took their seat and Maddie came and sat next to me "I'm so glad you're back Madds. I've missed you" I said

"Aw. I've missed you too Charlie. I'm glad I'm back too" she replied putting her head on my shoulder. The smell of lavender from her hair filling my nose

"Mr Lenehan and.. Oh. Well if it isn't Madeleine Baker" Mrs Woodkirk said "welcome back miss Baker" she continued

"Thankyou Madam" Maddie replied

"Mr Lenehan, please catch Miss Baker up on what we've been doing lately, we're simply carrying on the rest of the pairs project on 'of mice and men' you have this lesson and the next one" she said.

Of mice and men? We're still doing this? Oh joy. Let the hell begin..
