Chapter 24

-------------Charlie's POV-------------

I started to tidy my room a bit when I heard the door go "HI MADDS IM UP HERE" I shouted

"Charlie. Come down here" I heard Brooke say, worry in her voice. I ran downstairs to see her in tears

"Brooke? What's wrong?" I asked her

"M-M-Maddie. F-F-F-Follow me" she stuttered running out of the door. I ran after her until we got to the end of my estate to see Maddie lying unconscious on the floor.

"GO CALL MUM. MY PHONES ON MY BED SIDE TABLE" I shouted at Brooke. She ran back down to the house "Madds? Maddie? Please wake up Madds. Maddie?" I quietly said in her ear. Slowly her finger twitched.

"C-C-C-C-Charlie?" Her voice murmured

"Yes Madds. It's me" I said pulling her into a hug

"Why can't I move my arm?" She murmured.

"You've been hit. Stay here" I said. I sat by her side singing hopeful and shining star to her, playing with her hair.
Eventually, my mum, police and a ambulance came. Followed by Erika and 2 people I'd never met.

"Sorry but who are you?" A police man said to Erika and the two people

"I'm her sister. These are her cousins" Erika answered barging through. As soon as she saw Maddie being loaded into the ambulance she ran towards me

"What. Happened?" She managed to spit out before she started crying

"I don't know Eri. I really don't know" I replied.

----------------Joe's POV-----------------

I watched Maddie get loaded into the ambulance tears falling down my face

"Erika. We need to go with her" I said watching Erika cry into a boys shoulder. Which I assumed to be Charlie. Erika looked at me and nodded

"Charlie. This is Joe and Sadie, my cousins. This is Charlie, Maddie's boyfriend" Erika introduced. "Charlie. Are you coming with us?" She asked

"I would. But. I think I need to stay. Explain everything to my mum. Please tell me EVERYTHING that happens Eri" Charlie said. Erika nodded and got into the ambulance with me and Sadie.

I walked over to Maddie and sat down next to her "you're going to be okay Madds" I said to her. Maddie smiled at me.

"If I'm not. What if I let go?" She asked me. Clearly doubting she'd survive this

"You won't let go. Please Maddie, please." I pleased starting to cry. That was all I could say. Over and over.

Please Maddie, please"
