The weeks went by surprisingly fast. Between doing homework, running the DA meetings and avoiding detention from the Carrows, time went by extremely fast

Before I knew it, it was time to go home for Christmas. But I had no where to go, just like last year.

I owled my mother if I could come back, to which she replied no. It hurt me to get pushed away from my mother, and my own home. And it made me angry at her for not moving on and going back to leading some sort of life

"I guess I'm staying here" I mumble to no one in particular, looking at my plate of food sadly

"You could come home with me if you want, I'm sure mom and dad would be happy to see you" Ginny offered, a small smile on her face as she placed her hand over mine comfortingly

"Especially because the house will be a bit more quiet and empty now that Ron and Harry won't be coming home"

I nod, my heart warming at the idea"okay, yeah! I love seeing the Weasleys!" A smile came back onto my face "I can't wait to see Fred and George, I've missed them"

For the rest of dinner, I had a smile on my face. I wouldn't have to stay here with the Carrows all alone, and I got to spend Christmas with more people than myself.

I decided to get out of dinner early with the excuse that I was tired and going to bed early. But in reality I was hoping there would be an Owl waiting for me with a letter.

As I exited the great hall and took a left, someone gently grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the hall into a small nook

I gasp slightly as I'm pulled away from the hall. I squeal and try to free myself, trashing and pulling away from my attacker

"stop it! For Merlin's sake! It's me!" I hear the sound of Draco's voice hiss in the dim light

"Oh" I say as I stop trying to free myself "sorry. But maybe next time don't scare me like that!" I whisper

I feel his arms wrap around me, pulling me close "I'm sorry, I just wanted to see you for one more time. I won't get to see you for a little while" he mumbles into the crook of my neck "I know" I whisper "I'll miss you"

He kisses my cheek "promise you'll be careful. It's dangerous out there"

I sigh, somewhat annoyed "Draco, if I have to hear you tell me to be careful one more time-"

He sighs "I know, I know. But you don't know what's it's like now" I purse my lips "you don't know either. You've been stuck here just like I have been"

He shrugs "you might be right" he kisses the top of my forehead "let's stop talking about that. I'm not going to see you for two weeks"

I smile softly "I'll miss you" he brushes my cheek with the back of his hand "I'll miss you too"

I rest my head on his chest "if anything, we get a break from seeing the Carrow siblings, and there isn't the threat of me getting detention" I look up at him mischievously "or you for that matter"

He smirks "they'd never put me in detention. As for you, you've been really careful in their classes. I'm impressed" we both laugh quietly. I try and capture Draco's face, lips drawn back in a smile and eyes sparked with laughter.

I sigh out in bliss, enjoying my time with Draco. I knew I had to get back up to the dorm before Ginny got there, sadly cutting my time short with Draco

"I guess I'll see you in two weeks" I say sadly

"I'll see you then" he says, softly kissing me

I squeeze his hand tightly before letting go and reluctantly make my way back up to the dorm

When I got up there, I got changed into my pyjamas and quickly slipped into my bed. The feeling of Draco's warm hand in mine still burned on my skin.

It was time to go home for Christmas. I was excited to be going home, and to see the Weasley family.

I knew it wasn't going to be the same without Ron or Harry there, but it beat staying at Hogwarts.

Ginny, Neville, Seamus, Luna and I all shared a compartment on the Hogwarts express. Everything was going as usual until the train suddenly stopped and the lights went out

"We can't be there yet" Ginny exclaimed, and I looked out the window. It was some random countryside, not the train station. But what send chills down my spine and made all the blood drain from my face was the mark floating in the sky above the train. The Dark Mark

"Oh god. It's the Death Eaters" I say, pulling out my wand from my pocket. It's feeling slightly comforting in my hand.

"What do you think they want?" Seamus asked, a panicked look on his face "dunno. But I don't think pulling out our wands will help" Luna says, still sitting in her seat calmly.

"And why's that?" I ask, my wand still in my hand

"because, without Snape's rule about the killing curse out here they have no reason not to kill you. And with your wand pointed out it just makes it simpler for them to kill you"

We all look at each other, Luna's words sinking in. She was right. Draco's words rang at the back of my mind

You have no idea what it's like out there now

I nod, and we all put away our wands. Waiting in terror for something to happen.

I was looking out the window at the Dark Mark floating in the sky when suddenly our compartment door is torn open. I instinctively grab Ginny's hand in fright

A cloaked man stepped into our compartment, looked us over, and then grabbed Luna

"Found her!" The man shouted, dragging Luna out. Neville gets up, and goes to follow them, but I pull him back

"Don't! You'll get killed!" I hiss. He doesn't listen, and Seamus ends up helping me

"We can't just let them take her!" He shouts out helplessly.

I hesitate, wondering if what I was saying was right. Maybe we should go after her...

No, that's not what Luna would want. She just finished saying that we shouldn't fight them, or they'd kill us.

"they aren't killing her! But if you go after her they'll certainly kill you!" I say, closing the compartment door and looking back at my friends in despair; tears forming in my eyes.

And then there were four of us.
