Yearning ➸ Draco Malfoy

I couldn't believe what the man in front of me  had just said. My spoon drops from my hand into the bowl with a small clatter

"What?" Neville says, clearly as shocked as I was.

The man rolls his eyes "yes, I'm Albus' brother, Alright? Get over it" he grunts as he sits down in front of us "now. What exactly are you doing in the Room of Requirement?"

I blink a few times, getting over the shock"Well, things at Hogwarts haven't exactly been the greatest" I state, scratching the back of my neck as I searched for the words to describe things at Hogwarts.  "the Carrow siblings wanted us to practice the Crucio curse on first years. So I refused and told Alecto Carrow that I'd duel her, and if I won we wouldn't have to practice on the first years"

"And? Did you win?" He asks me. I nod "I did, otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here. But Alecto Carrow wasn't too happy about that. So she tried to kill me. That's why I've been hiding in the Room of Requirement; if I showed my face in the hallways I'd get killed"

Aberforth stiffly nods "right then" he gets up from where he was sitting "I'll help you. I'll provide food for you and your friends that are seeking shelter in the Room of Requirement"

I raise my eyebrows, and Neville sighs in relief "thank you. It's been quite tricky smuggling food from the Great Hall"

Aberforth nods "right. Okay, whenever you need food, just enter through that passageway and I'll have something for you"

I give him a grateful smile "thank you" I say, walking towards the portrait. The girl in the portrait smiled, before the portrait swung open to reveal the passageway. My eyebrows furrow slightly but I don't comment about the portrait

"Alright. See you soon" Aberforth says gruffly before the portrait closed

"Well, that was a surprise" I say as Neville and I head back

"And bloody brilliant. We have an Ally now" Neville exclaimed, almost tripping over a rock "I guess we do" I say absentmindedly, my mind elsewhere

"Neville, when do you think this will all be over?" I ask "when do you think Harry will come back and help us? Because I don't know how much longer I can take being trapped in the Room of Requirement"

Neville sighed "Alice, I have no clue. But I know that Harry is out there, and I know he's fighting for us" Neville nods "he hasn't forgotten about us"

My face softens, and a small smile makes its way to my lips "well, I'd hope he wouldn't forget about us! We've been his friends for a while now"

We enter through the other side of the Passageway, back in Hogwarts. We both climb down the ladder and find Ginny sitting in the exact same spot she was in when we left

"Hello" she says, not taking her eyes off of what she was looking at

I flop onto my bed, finally full of food and that's when it hit me

Draco had no idea where I am, or where I'm hiding, or if I was okay

This thought sends me into a flurry of panic; and I immediately start to form a plan as to how I'd be able to talk to him.

I start to bite my lip furiously as I come up with my plan

"I have to go to the bathroom, if I'm not back in half an hour somethings happened" I say, getting up and grabbing my wand "just be careful" Ginny exclaims from where she was sitting
