When the last bell rang, I gathered up all of Veronica's homework and went outside. Jane was waiting by the car talking in the phones I had no idea how her battery never died. I started to walk over to her when I noticed her boyfriend Charlie start to walk towards her. I rolled my eyes and instead looked around for Cody. Even though he was popular, he still let me talk to him at school. Jane on the other hand didn't even want me to glance at her saying how she didn't want me to ruin her reputation. I couldn't find him do I decided to suck it up and wait by Jane.

"Meet me at 10 outside your window." Charlie whispered not noticing me. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. He was always getting Jane in trouble by making her sneak out of the house. I had never actually seen her sneak out since it was usually Cody who would catch her. He had told me that he liked to stay up until 3 to make sure we didn't sneak out.

"Sounds great. See you later. Make sure not to make a lot of noise." She kissed him once on the lips before he walked away not even sparing me a glance. She glared at me and looked around rolling her eyes. "Where's Cody?" She asked looking at her fingernails.

"I don't know. I though that maybe he told you where he would be." She rolled her eyes again and continued looking around. "Are you really going to sneak out tonight to meet Charlie?" I questioned getting tired of the silence.

"Of course." Her eyes finally stopped on something and they got big. She started elbowing me while smirking.

"Looks like Cody has gotten himself a new friend. Bet you they won't even want to look at you." She smirked. I rolled my eyes and looked away not wanting to see who his new friend was. The way she has worded her sentence, it made me think that he had gotten a new slut for the day and I definitely did not want to see who she was. Soon footsteps were in front of us and I looked down at my feet not wanting to meet his new friends eyes.

"Erika. Jane. This is my friend Conner Bakely." I looked up and there he was staring at me. I looked away already knowing this wasn't going to end well. His dark eyes held so much emotion that I could feel my hear beat faster and I suddenly couldn't breathe. He hadn't even looked at Jane. He kept staring at me making me look at the floor.

"Hello." His voice was deep and husky. This time he looked at Jane but frowned when he was her making me smirk. Maybe it would be alright. Or so I thought.
