Forbidden Love

As I slowly gained consciousness, the first thing I heard was the continuous beeping coming from my right. It sounded like an alarm clock, but yet it was too loud to be one. I started trying to move my arm to shut off what ever the noise was, but I couldn't seem to move it. It was like my arm was frozen.

I then tried to move anything else, but I couldn't. My limbs were frozen and the only thing that seemed to be working was my mind. I couldn't seem to stop thinking about what had happened. I couldn't help but think about the fact that Jonathon had done something like that on his own. Yes I knew that he had done terrible things before, but Veronica was the one that wanted to hurt me, and Jonathon did that on his own with no in put from Veronica.

As I was finally able to move my fingers, I heard someone yell, "Where's the doctor?! She moved her fingers!" From beside me. Suddenly, the room was filled with different voices. Each yelling different things, so the voices mixed together and I wasn't able to tell who was in the room with me. The only one that I was able to pick out was Conner. His voice was louder than everyone else's and he seemed the most worried. He kept yelling for someone to hurry up.

"Erika can you open your eyes?" Someone asked from next to me. "Please just open your eyes." The begged. I tried to do what they asked of me, but my eye lids stayed in place like they were glued shut.

"Ma'am please leave the room. We have to do some checkups.  We will let you back in once you are done." An unfamiliar voice commented. I felt something wet touch the top of my head before it was gone and the sound of the door opened.

"Erika if you can hear me please move your fingers again." I did what he asked. "Can you move your whole hand." I tried, but my hand wasn't moving. "Please move your hand." I tired a couple more times before my hand finally moved. "Good job. One last thing. If you can hear me, please open your eyes." I had to try a couple of times, but I finally opened my eyes. I had to immediately close them again due to the brightness of the lights. I opened them again and blinked a couple of times. Standing in front of me was a doctor. I realized that he was the man that was talking to me earlier.

"W-water." I croaked out. He got my request before opening the door. Conner and Cody were the first ones into the room. They rushed over to me and gave me a big  hug.

"Thank god you're okay!" Cody yelled. I smiled at him before looking around the room. My mother and father were behind them, but Jane was nowhere to be seen. The realization made my heart break and the smile to drop off my face being replaced by a frown. I knew that Jane didn't like me, but just to see and know that she didn't care enough about me to be there when her own twin sister was in the hospital hurt. And it was all because of some guy.

"Where's Jane?" I questioned after taking a couple more drinks of water. My mother and father looked at each other before each grabbing one of my hands.

"She said that she didn't want to see you." My mother answered. "But the rest of us are here for you. Even Conner is here." 

"About that, why is Conner here? I thought only family was allowed in here." I asked.

"He was the one who found you, so we lied and said that he was your boyfriend." Cody answered slowly. I could feel my eyes widen at his words.

"Boyfriend?" I questioned. They nodded and I closed my eyes letting the information sink in. Then suddenly, Cody's words sunk in. "He was the one who found me? What were you doing in the girl's bathroom?" I interrogated.

"I heard Jonathon and Veronica talking about something that happened to someone in there and Jonathon said that he left her so I went to check it out and found out that her was you." He answered. I nodded and leaned back into the pillows. 

"Do you need some time alone sweetie?" My mother asked. I nodded and a few seconds later I heard the door open and close. I took a deep breath before I let the darkness consume me.

I am so sorry about the long wait! I've just had a lot of homework and I didn't really have time to write another chapter. I will try and finish one every week. Until then enjoy.
