As soon as Conner started the car, I was angry at myself. Angry at the fact, that I had gotten myself into that situation. If I hadn't gone and gotten feelings for him, this could've been avoided.

"What are you thinking about?" He questioned. I felt my face heat up, as I realized he had been looking at me the entire time.

"It's none of your business." I muttered rolling my eyes.

"Oh come on! It can't be that big of a deal that you can't tell me." He pretended to pout as he looked over at me.

"I would tell you, but I can't trust you. Or myself for that matter." I answered. I looked over at him to see him staring in front of him.

"Why don't you trust me?" He asked.

"Do you not remember the first night you were here? How you told everyone that I hadn't eaten anything that day? I can't trust you." I answered, my voice gradually getting louder with time.

"I did that for your own safety. If I had let that continue, you would probably be a skeleton right now." His voice started to get louder too, until it was almost a yell. "Do you want to die or something?!"

"Maybe I do." I whispered. I didn't have to look at him to see the disappointment on his face. It would be one anyone's face if I told them about the thoughts I had at night or the urges I had whenever I saw a blade.

"Why haven't you told anyone? This isn't something you keep to yourself Erika." I could even hear the disappointment in his voice.

"This is exactly  something that I should keep to myself! Why would I tell someone, and then have them try and stop me?! That's not how this works!" I yelled. The school soon came into view and as he parked I got out of the car and sprinted into the building. I should've been smarter though, because the first person I saw inside was Veronica. She was waiting by my locker, and I could tell that she had nothing exciting for me.

"Glad to see you back Heart." She mocked. "Did you have enough time being a baby and a liar?" She questioned rolling her eyes.

"Leave me alone Veronica."I ordered crossing my arms. Her eyes darkened and she glared at me.

"Don't say my name out of your mouth! Now, back to business. As you know, you are supposed to do my homework. Well, you weren't here so I had to do it myself. Do you remember what I told you would happen if you didn't do my homework like you're supposed to? Cause I remember it clearly." She commented circling around me like I was some type of prey and she was the predator.

"I'm sorry Veronica. I promise I will do your homework and any of your friend's but please just don't make him hurt me." I pleaded. She smirked down at me. She put her finger on her chin and pretended to think about it.

"I guess I can let you off this time. This one time though! Meet me by my locker at 3:30. Don't be late!" I took a deep breath and leaned against the locker. Could that day get any worse?
