As soon as I got home, I sprinted up the stairs and into my room. I closed the door and leaned against it trying to get my breathing back to normal. Through the whole ride home Conner was staring at me and he didn't look away when we made eye contact. It was unnerving what he was making me feel. He was making me feel things that I had never felt with anyone else. I shook my head before setting my bag down and going to my desk.

I decided that since I didn't want to have an encounter with Veronica's boyfriend I would do her homework first. But of course she had the most homework since apparently she didn't know how to do any of her work in class even they gave her time to.

A few hours later, I was done with both of our homework and changed before heading downstairs praying that Conner was fine. As I walked down, I heard noise in the kitchen. It sounded like arguing. I slowly crept down to the kitchen and peeled around the corner. Jane and Cody were arguing while Conner was standing to the side looking at something on his phone.

"My friends are coming over!" We need the tv so we can watch our shows!" She yelled crossing her arms.

"Well they aren't beee right now, but my friend is. We called the tv and guess what? We have it so you can throw a tantrum or whatever you want, but we are watching what we want to!" Cody argued back. Jane threw her hands up into the air before storming out through the backdoor. Cody sighed and turned to Conner.

"I'm so glad that I'm the only child." Conner smirked.

"Erika isn't this bad. She doesn't really argue. She doesn't really talk to be honest." I took a deep breath of air before walking into the kitchen hand looking at the floor. "Hey Eri." He greeted with a smile. I looked up and smiled before grabbing a glass and filling it with water. "Aren't you going to get something to eat?" He questioned. I shook my head and went into the living room. I didn't want to be part of the previous argument so I just sat down and grabbed a book off of the shelf.

"Aren't you going to turn on the tv?" Conner asked sitting next to me.

"No." I whispered putting my book down. His brows furrowed and he looked like he wanted to say something, but before he could Cody walked in and sighed.

"Apparently Jane threw a tantrum and now we have to go watch tv somewhere else." Conner sighed and followed Cody up the stairs. I picked up my book one more time, but Jane came into the living room and glared. Before she could say anything I went upstairs back to my room. The noise from downstairs and Cody's room made me start to cry. I would never know that it would feel like to have friends over to do things with. I would forever be alone.

I'm sorry it took forever and it was short. I will try to make the other chapters longer.
