The door opened across the hall and I knew that either Cody or Conner were going downstairs. I sighed as I played back and looked up at the ceiling. I was still on the floor from earlier, but I wasn't crying anymore. I had cried as much as my body would allow me for that moment. A knock on my door startled me into sitting up and jumping.

"Erika are you in here?" My mother asked through the door. I hadn't even heard her come home and I felt bad. Usually whenever she got home I was downstairs waiting to greet her.

"Yeah." I answered once I had calmed down from the previous scare.

"Dinners ready." She commented before I heard her heels walk away from the door. I got up before opening the door and walking downstairs. The noise from the dining room was louder than normal and I knew Conner was still there by the sound of his deep voice. As soon as I walked into the room the talking stopped and everyone looked at me. Worry immediately filled Cody's face as he looked at me.

"Have you been crying?" He questioned standing up and walking towards me. I looked at the floor and shook my head. "Why are your eyes red and puffy then" he lifted my head and made me look at him.

"Allergies." I replied. He bought the lie and sat back down. I went to my normal seat, which was next to Jane, but she glared at me as I sat down. She had never glared at me in front of everyone else before. She usually tried to hide the fact that she hated me.

"Did something happen between the both of you?" My father inquired. My face heated up as, for the second time that night, everyone looked at me. I looked down at my plate and I could feel their gazes move to Jane.

"Actually yes something did happen." My head snapped up towards her and she smirked at me. "Erika over here was planning on sneaking out, but told me that if I said anything she would tell you guys a lie about me." My jaw dropped and everyone turned and glared.

"Who were you going to sneak out with?" Cody interrogated. His glare was the worst out of everyone's. He used to say that he trusted me, because I hadn't done anything to break his trust. Guess he didn't actually believe that.

"N-no one! She's lying! She's the one who was going to sneak out!" I yelled. He scoffed and shook his head.

"Erika don't even try. Once you finish eating, you are to go to your room." My father ordered. My jaw dropped one more time before I jumped up.

"Of course you don't believe me! I'm not even that hungry. I'll just go to my room, since none of you guys can see who the lier is." I tried to leave, but Conner grabbed my wrist making Cody's eyes darken.

"You should probably eat. You didn't eat lunch today." My face heated again and Cody stormed out of the room.

"How would you know that? Are you stalking me?" I demanded.

"I went into the library during lunch and I couldn't help but noticed how you didn't have any food with you." He articulated (I'm not sure if I'm using that correctly). I looked over at Jane and she was smirking while texting someone. Probably her friends telling them how much of a loser I really am.

"Erika sit down and eat your dinner. When you're done, we're gong to have a very important discussion." My mother spoke before pointing to my plate that was still full. I sighed before sitting back down.

"Go to your room. Don't stay up too late. You still have school tomorrow." I nodded and sprinted out of the room. Throughout the whole lecture my mom had tears in her eyes but thankfully none of them fell. Suddenly, I ran into something. I looked up and saw Conner standing in front of me.

"I'm sorry." I whispered trying to get around him, but he blocked my every move. It reminded me of school and how Veronica always did the same thing before hitting me or insulting me.

"Are you okay I actually believed that he was genuinely worried, but then my mind reminded me that there was no chance he could be we care enough about me to be worried.

"I'm fine. Now if you don't mind I would like to go to my room." He looked shocked and I took that time to move around him and go into my room. I locked the door and laid down. As I laid there my eyes drifted closed and I slowly fell asleep.
