Conner's P.O.V.

I was going to wait for her after detention, but I got a call from my lawyer so I left. I was an idiot and didn't even think to text her to let her know I wasn't going to be there. I could only pray that she was smart enough to call someone to pick her up.

As soon as I got back to the house after my meeting, I knew something was wrong. I knew before I even turned down the street. You could see the police cars racing down the street. You could hear the sirens from blocks away. I sped the rest of the way. I don't even remember putting the car in park as I finally got to the house.

Emma and Tommy were talking to the police when I stepped through the door. Cody was pacing in front of the window just staring at his phone while Jane was sitting on the steps looking like she didn't care what was happening. The only person I didn't see was Erika, and that's what made me so nervous.

I hurriedly made my way over to Cody. I was hoping that he would tell me what was going on. I didn't expect his parents to even look my way at this moment, and it looked like Jane couldn't care less.

"What's going on? Where's Erika?" I shot off the questions as he looked in my direction. His glance turned to glare as he saw me. He stalked over to me and slapped me. I felt my head whip to the side as I was met with a burning sensation in my cheek. "What the hell?!" I yelled. Nobody had even turned to look and see what the commotion was.

"Why would you just leave her out alone like that?! This is all your fault!" He yelled. "Because of you, my little sister was taken!" I felt like my heart stopped.

"What do you mean she was taken?" I whispered. He scoffed and looked back at his phone.

"You left her outside all alone and she was taken. Thank god she accidentally called me when it happened!" He yelled.  "All we can hope is that the cops can find her." Fresh tears filled his eyes as he looked down at his phone. The screen was a picture of him and Erika.

"Did the cops trace the location of the call?" I questioned. Suddenly, his head popped up and his eyes shined.

"No. I don't think they did! Officer Parker! What about tracking the location of her call?!" He yelled. The officer talking to his parents immediately turned to his partners before racing out of the house.

"Cody! You're a genius!" His mom gushed.

"It was Conner who brought up the idea." I saw Jane roll her eyes and I felt my heartbreak. Did she not care that her sister had just been taken? How could anybody be that heartless? It reminded me a lot of Scar from the Lion King. He was so jealous that he killed his brother. Jane was so heartless she didn't care if something bad was happening to her sister.

Erika's P.O.V.

The first thing I noticed when I woke up, was the pounding in my head. The feeling of construction workers pounding away. My eyes fluttered open as I took in my surroundings. It was a place I had never been to before. The walls were stone, the floor was cold, and there were no windows.

"Look who's finally awake." A voice commented. The sound echoed throughout the room. I quickly moved my head to see someone I thought I would never have to see again.

Sorry that it's been a while. This summer has really sucked and so I haven't really had time to write and upload.
