(This part is long as heck, just a warning.)
Chapter fifty-eight
AIt was chaos. Complete chaos. Everyone from each clan ran around panicking about whether their life would be saved, and I could understand why. 100 from each clan wasn't a lot, and deciding who those 100 would be was going to be even more chaotic.
I opened the door to the main office, seeing my dad stood by the desk and my mom sat on the chair behind it as I closed the door behind me.
"My brain is healing, the seizures have stopped." I hear Raven's voice over the radio that my mom held in her hand. "When I get there, we'll use the same procedure on you. You'll be cured." I furrow my eyebrows as I look at my father. Cured? What did she need to be cured of?
"Cured?" My dad asks, moving to the desk and leaning both hands on it as he looked at my mom. "What is she talking about?" He added as I walked over and stood beside him, looking at my mom with a questioning glance.
My mom looked at both of us before turning her attention back to the radio, "We can talk about that when you get here." She puts the radio down on the desk and looks back at me and my father.
"What does she mean? What's wrong with you?" I ask, crossing my arms over my chest. My mom doesn't get a chance to respond as the door opens behind me. I turn back, watching as Clarke, Bellamy and Jaha walk in.
"Our people are scared, Marcus." Jaha states.
"Everyone is." I retort, fed up of him constantly putting it on my father.
"Well, we need to tell them something." Jaha says, looking at me as I sigh slightly.
"We just spoke with Raven. When she gets here, we'll have all of our essential personnel." My dad informs them as I turn to look at him.
"How exactly is she getting here?" I ask, furrowing my eyebrows slightly. "I would feel a lot better going to get her, make sure that she actually does get here."
"I agree." Bellamy states as I glance back at him, nodding.
"I'll come with you." Clarke tells me, but I don't glance back at her. I still hadn't spoke to her, unable to even look in her direction after what she did. "But when we bring Raven back, how many spots does that leave us with?" She asked.
"Including our essential personnel and spots for children under sixteen, that leaves us with eighty." My mom announces as I look to the ground. This was going to be a nightmare.
"I can't believe we are talking about sending 364 of our own people to their deaths." Jaha sneers as I shake my head.
"We're lucky they're giving us any space in this bunker at all." Clarke tells him as I begin to get annoyed with her. It's her fault we even need to call ourselves 'lucky'.
