I frowned when I heard the doorbell ring.
It was past eleven and we weren't expecting visitors.
My face relaxed when I saw Megan standing outside through the peephole.
"Hey Megs. Everything okay?" I asked her seriously.
She just rolled her eyes. "Hunter and Tristan are fighting again. I need some peace and quiet so I'm sleeping over at yours."
I laughed as I stepped aside to let her in.
"Do you want to watch something?" Megan questioned as she made her way to my room.
My lips pulled into a smirk as my eyes met hers.
I smirked as my eyes met hers. "One Tree Hill?"
"One Tree Hill." She squealed.
We spent the next few hours watching our favorite show while eating junk-food.
The clock was about to strike 3AM when I finally switched off the TV in my room.
Megan yawned as she made herself comfortable in my bed. I smiled and lay down next to her.
I was about to drift off when her voice broke in.
"Hey, Scar?" She whispered
"Yeah?"
"You're like the sister I always wanted. Thank you for being here."
"You're my sister too." I whispered.
We were enveloped by a peaceful silence. I closed my eyes.
"Hey, Scar?" Megan whispered again.
"Hm?"
"You know, if you marry Hunter we could be real sisters."
My eyes flew open and I turned to smack her arm. She burst into a fit of giggles.
Peaceful silence enveloped us.
"Hey, Scar?" She whispered after a while.
"Yes, Megan?" I smiled.
"We'll always be sisters right? We'll always have each other's backs?" Her voice was fading, like she was drifting off to sleep.
"Yes we will. Always." I whispered as my eyes closed.
The world finally faded into blackness.
