Arthur X F: The Joy Of Creation

I took another deep breath looking at the doctor. "Your sure?" I asked nervousness taking over. "Yes ma'am. Everything checks out. Congrats." I flashed him a small smiling handing him the money i owed. "Thank you." I stepped outside the doctor's office and looked up at the sky. 'How the hell do i even tell him?' I took another deep breath and began to walk down the street. Arthur had decided to take me to Saint Denis for a date. I knew he was waiting for me in the saloon which wasn't far. I walked down the street both positive and negative thoughts swarming my head. 'What if he doesn't want a kid?' I thought frowning. I paused when i heard loud cries for help. I walked across the street to find a little girl in the alleyway sobbing. "Are you okay?" I asked rushing over to her. "I fell and hurt my knee." She sniffled looking up at me with teary eyes. She had a small cut on her knee that didn't look too serious. "Where's your parents? I'll take you to them." She gave me a bright smile. "Really? Thank you Miss!" I gently picked her up and followed her directions to her home. It was right across the street from the saloon. I banged on the door hoping someone would answer. A woman opened the door gasping. "What happened?" I handed her the girl sighing. "She scraped her knee. I found her in the alleyway crying." I smiled as the mother planted several kissed on her daughters forehand. "Thank you so much. I wouldn't know what to do without her." I nodded and tipped my hat before walking across the street to the saloon. Arthur was waiting outside petting his horse. 'Maybe being a mom isn't such a bad thing.' I thought walking towards Arthur. "Everything okay?" He asked pulling me into a quick hug. I stared at him for a long time taking in the details of his face. "Can i ask you something?" He nodded. "Do you want kids?" He seemed taken back by my question making me nervous. "Yeah I do....but not until we get the money and settle down somewhere." I placed my hand on his shoulder giving it a gentle squeeze. "Arthur, I'm pregnant." I had imagined him telling me off in many different ways. What i didn't imagine was him pulling me into a bear hug. "Your not upset?" He shook his head. "Why would I be? You'll be a great mom." Tears began to run down my face. "Thank you Arthur. You'll be a great dad." His smile returned to a serious expression. "You know when I had Issac....I was really happy but scared. I wanna do things right this time.. I...uh....don't have a ring but....marry me?" It took me a moment to realize what he had said. "Why would you think I'd ever say no?" He picked me up spinning me around making us both laugh. This was the best day of my life.

(This was requested by ArielAlma6. I hope you like it. It's a little difficult to write because I don't see Arthur as being super emotional when it comes to that sort of thing. He kinda always plays things down in the game.
