Everything was strange now. One second Dutch was fine the next he was ready to tear someones throat out. We all had tried talking sense into him but he just ignored our pleads. I was forced to watch for weeks as Arthur begged for Dutch to listen to reason. Arthur was now a shell of his former self completely broken and depressed. I stayed by his side no matter how dangerous things got. No matter how crazy Dutch acted I would be there to make sure Arthur was okay. But now there was an unexpected bump in the rode. I was now pregnant with Arthur's child. When I told him he was extremely excited until he thought about Dutch. We both knew what had to be done but that didn't make it any easier. I watched Arthur pace back and forth inside our little tent. His was an absolute nervous wreck and looked like he was going to snap any second. "Arthur." I called out softly gaining his attention. He paused looking at me with a broken expression. "I know." He mumbled taking in a shaky breath. "I'm so sorry Arthur. We all really tried to talk sense into him." I walked over pulling Arthur into a hug. He buried his face into my shoulder and began to sob. I held onto him tightly surprised. This was the first time I'd ever seen Arthur cry. Sure I'd seen him sad but never this broken. "Arthur everything will be okay. I won't ever let anything happen to you. I know everything is hitting you hard right now but I promise it will get better." Arthur pulled away staring deeply into my eyes. "I love you." He whispered softly. I smiled kissing his cheek. "I love you too." He looked around our small tent. "Do we have everything we need?" I nodded. "Then let's go." Arthur grabbed my hand holding onto it tightly as we exited the tent. Arthur stared at the camp in silence for a few moments before looking at me. "Dawn will break soon. We should get going." He nodded leading us over to his horse. He mounted it quickly before helping me on. We took off down the trail never looking back once.

-------------Years Later-------------------

I stood on the porch shaking my head. "What did i say about scaring the horses?" I asked firmly watching my son flash me a sheepish grin. "But dad said I could!" My gaze snapped up to my husband who stood behind my son. "Did he now?" I asked arching a brow. I watched my husband give me the same sheepish grin making me sigh. "Arthur Morgan you know damn well how skittish those horses are! Ulysses could have gotten kicked by one of them!" Arthur scooped Ulysses off the ground placing him on his shoulders. "We were just having fun. Weren't we?" He asked glancing up at Ulysses who nodded. I stared at them in silence before smiling. "I just want you both to be safe." Arthur smiled walking over to me and placing a soft kiss on my lips. "EWW!" Ulysses shrieked making gagging noises. I playfully rolled my eyes. "Come inside and get washed up. After that you can have some pie." I watched their eyes light up with joy. Arthur quickly stepped around me carrying Ulysses into the house. I smiled listening to their laughter fill our home. This might have been rough at the start but I couldn't imagine living any other way.
