1. Is Mia deaf?
- No, Mia isn't deaf. She's only mute.
2. Is Mia born mute?
- Mia is not born mute. She is selectively mute, although selectively sounds oddly voluntary. In the early months of Mia's abuse, her father beat her whenever she spoke. She figured that speaking is what got her the worst beatings so she just stopped.

I also have some questions:
1. If you see Mia speak anywhere, please let me know because she didn't speak anywhere throughout this story.
2. If I made a different story in between the book 1 and (contemplated) book 2 what genre should it be.
3. Do you have any ideas that you maybe would like to see me add into the (contemplated) book 2?
