Chapter 5: Jaimee's Nightmare

Jaimee.

"Congratulations for winning the journalism in Australia Jaimee!" My classmates surpirsed me the moment I entered the classroom.

"Ang galing galing mo talaga!"

"Idol talaga kita Jaimee!"

"Sigurado akong maraming may lahing kalahok dun pero ikaw yung nanalo!"

"Salamat sa support niyong lahat. Naaapreciate ko talaga lahat ng ito. Thanks for believing in me guys!" Nag group hug kami.

After quite some time, recess na. As expected...

"Jamiee!"

"Jaimee dito!"

"Jaimee, was the competition tough?"

"Ininsulto ka ba ng mga tisay dun?"

"Naiintindihan mo ba ang mga sinasabi nila?"

"May naging kaibigan ka ba dun?"

Sunod sunod nilang tanong. "Siyempre, palagi namang 'tough' ang mga competition diba? Wala namang masyadong nang insulto. May iba nga lang na maiinit ang ulo doon. I understand them because we all speak English. I didn't have a friend during the contest. Masyado kasi akong focused eh. Did I answer all your questions?"

"Thank you Jaimee! Continue making our school proud." Nagsialisan na sila. Phew, ayan, tapos na.

"J!" Blue! I ran towards him and hugged him. "What happened there? Magkwento ka naman."

"Mukhang di ka na cold ngayon ah. Anong nangyari? What did you eat? Bakit parang masigla ka ngayon?"

"Para ka namang isa sa nga taga interview mo. Hold your horses." Umupo kami sa bench.

"So, what happened? May GF ka na?! Nawala lang ako ng isang linggo tapos, in a relationship ka na? Blue naman.."

"No, of course not. I'm just happy because dad's coming home tomorrow. It's been six years. Then, dumagdag ka pa. You won first place. No doubt really. Congratulations J."

"Aww, thanks. Going back to your dad, I'm so happy for you. You know my dad, he, he never showed up. I'm so happy for you Blue, kahit papaano, makakasama mo pa ang dad mo. For me, the chance of my dad coming back is 1%."

"Don't lose hope J. Malay mo, babalik din ang dad mo. In an unexpected time nga lang siguro. "

"I hope so Blue."

"So, what happened in Australia?"

"You wouldn't believe this. There was a girl, my age, who looks exactly like me. Attitude wasn't the same but we really look like each other."

"Nagsasalita ba siya? Baka kung ano yan Jaimee." Multuhan talaga?

"Uy, wag ka ngang manakot ng ganyan. Hindi ah. Of course nagkausap nga kami eh. Hindi din nagkakalayo ang mga boses namin. The weird thing is, parang may something akong nararamdaman kapag nakikita ko siya. Para bang kaba na may halong saya. Alam mo yun. It's kinda weird."

"Right.. Ano bang pangalan niya?"

"Ali. All I know is just Ali. I also think she's one of the bad girls in their school. I even saw what she did with my own eyes. She's quite cruel. The student told me, she is everyone's nightmare."

"That's reasonable. Hindi ba noon, gusto mong makakita ng kapatid na kabaliktaran mo. Baka, ito na yun." He's right. But, it could just be a coincidence.

"She's not my sister okay? Baka nagkataon lang yun. Diba? Imposible naman."

"Maybe. But maybe not."
