Nyda's mom left after Nyda had finally gotten enough of her mom. Carl was more than happy to have her gone. I took up the mantle of getting Nyda to her appointments for treatment and doctor visits. Luckily it was right next to Megs hospital.

The oncologist was a goddess. Her smile put sunshine to shame. Her hair was short. Her skin was the color of dark chocolate and sometimes smelled like honey. She always greeted me with a warm smile and a handshake. She had a slight accent that only added to her almost goddessness. She made the appointment a lot less depressing.

"How are you feeling today, Nyda?" She was on first name basis with us. She no longer referred to us as Ms. She told us to just call her Dr. B.

"Much better. I actually ate this morning." Nyda smiled proudly. "A boiled egg and toast."

"Very good. Any pain or tingling?" Dr. B sat down across from us.

"Not really. I've been a little stiff."

Nyda and Dr. B continued to talk. They went over her chart and Dr. B smiled. I was happy to just sit there and carry her medicine list.

After her treatment I took her home and we ate toast. Her appetite wasn't perfect. But she was eating.

"You're scan to see when operations can begin is in three weeks." I looked at it marked on the calendar. "Your birthday is coming up. What do you want.?" Her birthday was two days after Christmas.

"I want to be able to eat a steak." She pouted. "I'll settle for fuzzy socks with anti slip soles." She paused. "And a massive fuzzy blanket I can wrap myself up in."

"You're so easy to shop for." I smiled. I had already gotten her a 'care basket' for Christmas. It had unscented lotions and no slip fuzzy socks and a giant blanket.

We sat together idly chatting until Carl got home. "You're relieved of duty, ma'am." Carl giggled and kissed my cheek.

I drove home and couldn't wait to get a nice warm hot bath.

"Angel," Justin called to me as I walked in the front door.

"Yes, Sir?" I had stayed very late at Nyda and Carl's. "I was with Nyda at her doctor appointment."

I walked onto the living room and saw we had guest. Carlton and Cassie. "Well I was hoping the four of us could get dinner tonight. I missed my old friend."

Carlton smiled at me. "You look well after the party last week."

Cassie laughed with me. "The sounds you were making. I don't think I've ever been so jealous in my life."

I sat on the arm rest beside Justin. "My abs hurt. If I'm telling the truth." I leaned against Justin. "I need to change before we go anywhere."

Justin laughed. "We'll be right back. Time to change." Justin was till in work attire. We went to our room. "Good news on the Nyda front?"

"I'd say so. Dr. B is very optimistic about her prognosis now." I went into the closet. "I hate that well have to put off celebrating Christmas with Nyda until a few days before New Years."

Justin came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me. "What matters is our friends and families. I don't care when er celebrate. it could be in June for all I care." Justin gently slapped my butt. "We're doing Chinese tonight if that changes what you want to wear."

"Can't we just have them deliver?" I complained. "I don't want to go out."

"You're a little brat." Justin chuckled. "No. Get dressed."

He wore a pair of faded jeans and an old tshirt. He was comfortable. I wore jeans and a long sleeved shirt that was low cut enough to see the top of my cleavage. Carlton and Cassie sat quietly in our living room talking.

"Ready?" Cassie looked at me. She wasn't an overly emotional person. She smiled slightly most of the time she smiled and usually only spoke with Carlton at the parties.

"I believe so." I nodded to her. "How was your day?"

"I spent most of it behind the front desk. It was a slow day in clinic." She came to stand beside me as Justin and Carlton walked out the door. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course." I smiled at her.

"Do you think I'm rude.?"

I looked at her for a while. Maybe a moment too long. "No... You're quiet but not rude. Most of the submissives I know don't talk to Doms outside of their own."

"But I hardly talk to you or the others." Cassie looked at the ground. "I was worrying that you might think I don't like you."

I laughed. Definitely too loud. Justin and Carlton looked at me as well got in the back of the car. "I know its nothing like that Cassie. You're just quiet." I smiled. This was the most we had ever spoken.

We chatted quietly after that. Cassie worked at a medical clinic and enjoyed it a lot. She hated how awkward she felt around most of the submissives at the party. She said she liked me a lot. I liked her. She was a short and plump woman who had wide eyes and a cute little mouth. Her laugh was infectious.

"You're too hard on yourself." We spent most of the meal talking. "You don't have to be some bubbly little airhead. Its okay to be nervous and quiet." I enjoyed her company.

"Angel," Justin's voice pulled me away from my new friend. "Carlton was wondering if you would be interested in one of the electrical chairs."

I looked over at Cassie and she smiled at me mischievously. "it's definitely something I'd enjoy to have."

Cassie laughed quietly and looked at me happily. "I love hearing you on it."

Carlton shot her an amused look. "Maybe next time I'll let Angel hear your reactions on the chair."

I liked Carlton and Cassie a lot. With everything day I grew closer to them I enjoyed it more and more. I liked making new friends.
