Kara and I, we are sitting side by side on the couch. The tv is on but neither of us watch it. She is busy texting someone while I occasionally stealing glances at her.
"Lee, I have to take this call." Kara says and enters the bedroom.
A few minutes later, she is back to the living room, wearing different outfit.
"Are you going somewhere?" I ask.
"Umm yeah. To the DEO. An alien escaped. Uhh not one but two." Kara stammers.
"Oh."
"Bye. Love you." Kara kisses my cheek.
I grab her hand, stopping her. "You're just saying the words."
"Excuse me."
"When will you tell me it's over?"
"Huh?"
"You're horrible at hiding things from me. You always find an excuse to have a secret rendezvous. I hold your body but your mind is thinking about them.
I work hard everyday to win you back but your heart's not here. Not anymore."
"Stop this nonsense right now. You're the one that I want."
"Please don't faking it. If you've fallen out of love with me then stop leading me on."
I grab my car key.
"Where are you going?"
"I'd rather walk away than asking you to stay."
