"Kara, catch!"
"Whoa. Good thing I joined the softball team throughout high school and university" Kara examines the box and shakes it. "May I open it?"
Lena nods.
"A key. Do you give me access to your safe?" Kara wiggles her eyebrows. "Because I'm ready to order potstickers and pizza."
"No. God, you're such a pig. I give you the key to access this" Lena shows Kara the love lock pendant necklace.
"Close your mouth. I know it's pretty. It should be because I spent $7,500 for it" Kara rolls her eyes. "I'm off topic. Anyway, do you count how many times I reject you?"
"Thrice in the past four years. The first was because you're still not over your last relationship. Jack cheated on you and you got your heart broken. It lead to trust issues. The second was your intention to re-brand Luthor Corp to L-Corp. Being a CEO; your schedule might be hectic. You might not have the time to focus on dating. The last one was you simply don't want to be in a relationship. Whatever it is, I respect your decision and you don't have to feel bad about it. If you're not sure, don't rush it"
"I'm ready" Lena interrupts.
"Huh?"
"To be your partner in life. I want to give us a chance. It seems sudden but I've been thinking on how I'm still dwelling in the past. It's not healthy and I have to move on. Deep down, I know you're not him. You are the most kind-hearted, brilliant and beautiful woman. You accept my flaws and help me to be the better version of myself" Lena scratches her neck, a sign of nervous. "My introduction is getting long. Let's jump to conclusion. I give you the key to my heart" Lena points the gold key.
Kara can't and won't to hide her excitement. She pulls Lena's body closer and hugs her tight. "I'll do my best not to break it."
"You better not" Lena punches her partner's arm.
"May I try? To make sure it works" Kara jokes.
When the lock pendant snaps open, it shows a photo of Kara and Lena on L-Corp couch, eating Big Belly Burger and french fries. Kara has ketchup on her cheek and Lena's tongue is ready to lick it clean.
"Oh Rao. I remember that day. We're celebrating my birthday. Jess being the sneaky secretary, took that pic. Watch that tongue, miss Luthor. Your gayness is showing."
