Twist Of Fate

Chapter 49

 The Hardheaded CEO

Tuesday already came.

You let out a tired groan and stretched your body. Your bed was warm, soft, and so cozy. You didn't want to get up already.

But reality quickly dawned upon you. Instantly, you sat up in your bed and looked to your side. The bed was empty. You were alone in the room.

Yongguk's bedding hadn't been touched. His duvet was still folded. This meant that he hadn't slept in the bed last night.

You had gone into Yongguk's studio last night. You had no memory of going back to bed. Your eyes widened, when it deigned upon you that you had clearly fallen asleep on the couch in Yongguk's studio, and like the cold gentleman that he is, he must have carried you to bed.

You were still wearing your dress from yesterday evening. You clearly hadn't gone to bed yourself. You let out a groan and tossed your body into the bed. You should have never closed your eyes.

You looked at the clock on your nightstand. It wasn't even seven am. You were up too early, obviously because you fell asleep early.

The door suddenly opened, and your eyes shot up. You quickly pulled the cover up and covered your exposed legs, and Yongguk appeared in that moment.

Yongguk stiffened at the door. He was fully dressed, but he held a towel in his hand and water dripped from his bangs.

"You are up." He said in a that low morning voice.

"Yes, I fell asleep early." You told.

"Yeah, and I had to carry you up." He replied.

"You didn't have to." You said.

"I had to. You wouldn't be able to sleep in the noise." He stated.

You stared at him as you tugged on your duvet to your upper body. Your cheeks heated up. He was being considerate again.

"Aren't you going to get out of bed?" He asked as his eyes traveled down your body.

You tossed the duvet away and crawled out of bed. You combed your hair with your hands and lowered your head.

"What are you doing?" He asked with a frown on his face.

"I've not washed." You mumbled, avoiding his gaze.

"Yeah, clearly." He stated.

You rushed past him with your head lowered and your hair in front of your face, covering your face.

You didn't want him to see your puffy morning face when you had fallen asleep with makeup on, or the possible dirt you got in your eyes, the smudged mascara, or anything worse such a drool.

"It's not like I've not seen your face in the morning before."

You heard him shout from the room, but you were already in front of the bathroom. You entered the bathroom, closed the door, and hurried to the mirror.

You glanced at your reflection and your eyes widened. You wanted to scream. Thank goodness, you hurried out before he saw your face like this.

You turned on the faucet and splashed cold water on your face. Then you took out your makeup remover, grabbed some cotton pads and began to rub your skin, getting the dirt off your face.
