"Staring at your wedding band again?"

Xiao Fei looks up and smiles. Yi Jie ruffles Xiao Fei's soft hair. Yi Jie just finished his shower and the first thing he sees is his spouse staring at his wedding band again. Yi Jie climbs up the bed and hugs Xiao Fei around the waist, drawing the younger man, now his husband, to him.

"What's wrong Xiao Fei?"

"Nothing's wrong. I just can't believe I'm married. We are married. Legally," Xiao Fei says, twirling the band which is slightly loose on his left ring finger.

"Believe it baby. You are stuck with this old man forever. Too late to regret now. I just hope that our simple and small wedding ceremony and dinner tonight were enough for you," Yi Jie says. Xiao Fei immediately turns and kisses Yi Jie on the cheek.

"Yi Jie, I didn't agree to marry you so you could throw me lavish parties. I'm content I get to celebrate today in private, with people who support and love us," Xiao Fei says sincerely.

"But there are still something bothering you. Would you want to tell your husband?" Yi Jie coaxes.

"It's just...she got me thinking...about us as a couple and managing a house, managing children...I--,"

Yi Jie pauses Xiao Fei with his hand, "Stop, if you are going to talk about that silly woman, then stop. It's our big day. Regardless of whatever things she spewed when she gate crashed, none are valid. We are not doing anything wrong. We are just two people, who loves each other very much and then decided to get married and build a family. This country accepts it and allows it so we are all equals. There is no, who is doing wrong or right, we build our family, our way,"

"I know...I'm just being silly, I'm sorry...I shouldn't spoil the mood...," Xiao Fei says, biting his bottom lip. Something Xiao Fei unconsciously does when he thinks Yi Jie is upset with him.

"Xiao Fei, look at me," Yi Jie lifts Xiao Fei's face to him, "Don't apologize baby. We are husbands now, we are supposed to start our new life together and to do that, we have to treat each other as equal, I want you to come and tell me how you feel, like how I usually do to you, so never apologize for that,"

"Yi Jie...thank you...,"

"And never say thank you, not to me, not to YoYo. Both of us should be the ones thanking you for coming into our lives and changing it for the better," Xiao Fei smiles, his eyes, teary.

"Ok, I get it. I'm the sunshine in this family. I love you and YoYo so much," Xiao Fei expresses.

"And we love you, our Fei Fei, very much. You, me and YoYo, will be the best family anyone can ever imagine, longer than hers, I heard her second boyfriend dumped her," Yi Jie says and Xiao Fei shakes her head.

"Ok, then I'll do my best to be the best and cutest spouse you'll ever have and the best guardian to Yoyo,"

Yi Jie shakes his head, "No, you will never be the guardian, you are YoYo's daddy. Or momma. I think momma suits you better. You play house with her and spoil her too much,"

Xiao Fei smiles, rubbing away a stray tear. Yi Jie hugs Xiao Fei.

"Xiao Fei, you and I, will go through this life, together, as equals, and out, and proud. We don't need to fear anyone because you know why?" Yi Jie stares straight into Xiao Fei's eyes.

"Why?"

"Because we have love, each other, YoYo and everyone who love us, that's enough," Yi Jie says and seals their distant with a kiss.

That's right, that's all that matters.
