"Did you hear? About that girl in 2-E?" A rather loud classmate asked her friends.

"Yeah, they haven't got a clue..." Her friend replied.

"Isn't that bizarre?"

Minako zoned everyone out as she listened to her music with her headphones on. Fairly speaking, she thought that girl deserved whatever happened to her.

Makoto was apparently doing the same thing.

"Man, can you believe these people...?" Junpei commented, standing next to Minako's desk. "So, did you two hear the details?"

Makoto gave a shrug as he took his headphones and placed them on his neck, wanting to listen to what Junpei had to say.

"I'm not interested." Minako blew a raspberry.

"Stop acting like you don't care." Junpei rolled his eyes. "But you should hear this. A girl from 2-E went missing last night. This morning they found her lying on the ground in front of the school gate! Nobody knows what happened and supposedly, she's still unconscious."

"Is that so? Such a pity." Minako cooed, pretending to feel sad for her.

Upon hearing the brunette's reply, Makoto couldn't help but to feel weird inside. Was there some beef between the girl and Minako? But he didn't want to meddle in matters which meant he had to use energy.

"...Mornin'." Yukari greeted as she entered the classroom.

"Yo, Yuka-tan!" Junpei greeted. "This is a tough case, even for Iori Junpei, Ace Detective."

"Ace Defective? Are you stupid or something?" Yukari gave an uninterested look. "...More like Stupei, Ace Defective."

"H-Hey! I resent that!" Junpei blurted. "Anyway, where have you been?"

"I was talking to the teacher. That girl they found...I saw her yesterday, on my way back from practice. She seemed okay then..." Yukari explained.

Minako widened her eyes.

Had Yukari seen her talking to Maki and Natsuki?

"Whoa, now that's really strange." Junpei sweat dropped.

"I guess it is." Minako replied, with a straight tone. "But I really don't want anything to do with it."

Makoto yawned, laying his head on his desk and falling asleep.

Yukari couldn't help but feel a tiny bit of suspicion that Minako may have had some hand in this. She didn't want to accuse her friend, but Yukari didn't really know much about Minako. She decided to let it go for now.

The same thought was appearing in Makoto's head. Minako looked way too uninterested and was really avoiding the matter. He just couldn't read her, no matter what he did.

Minako was a woman of many mysteries, no doubt. But could it be possible that Minako had something to do with the Class 2-E girl? Makoto bit his lip for a second before shutting his eyes completely and letting sleep engulf him in the classroom.

Class had ended for the day. Minako grabbed her things and made her way out of the classroom.

That didn't calm Yukari's suspicion at all. Why did Minako always run out of the classroom immediately? Qehat business did she have everyday? Sure, she does hang out with Makoto from time to time, but not enough.

Yukari wiped some sweat off her forehead, trying to convince herself to believe in Minako. But Yukari still couldn't forget what Minako had told Maki yesterday.
