R/T/K/N = Random Thunderclan Kit Name
-Half a moon time skip-
[Y/L/N] and Jayfeather have gotten closer, and Jayfeather even told [Y/L/N] about Hollyleaf; who he doesn't usually prefer to talk about. [Y/L/N] was about to lay down in her nest when loud paw steps stomped into her territory, and she was pretty sure she knew who was coming. "Jayfeather, it's not even--" [Y/L/N] doesn't get to finish her sentence before Jayfeather barges into her den without warning. "I'm sleeping here tonight." Clearly upset, he lays down next to [Y/L/N] and angrily wraps his tail around his muzzle. "What happened to you? [Y/L/N] asks softly, mostly to herself, not caring if he hears or not. "Dawnpelt thinks I killed Flametail!" he hisses dryly, burying his muzzle deeper into his tail. I don't know who Dawnpelt or Flametail are, but Jayfeather would never kill a cat even if he is rude sometimes. [Y/L/N] protectively wraps her tail around Jayfeather, quickly realizing her mistake. It's too late to draw it back now. To [Y/L/N]'s surprise, he doesn't flinch. "You wouldn't." [Y/L/N] says quietly. "I know." was all he mumbled before he closed his eyes, trying to shut out the outside world. [Y/L/N] gently draws back the stuck up pieces of his fur with her tongue getting a mew of protest from Jayfeather but soon he was too tired to protest farther and drifted off to sleep, and [Y/L/N] followed.
[Y/L/N] wakes up and remembers Jayfeather is at her side. She gently gets up, making sure not to wake him. I'll go hunting. he'll probably be hungry. [Y/L/N] steps out of her den enjoying the cold air hitting her face. Ill hunt by twoleg place but I won't go far. I don't know if it's safe yet. [Y/L/N] creeps towards twoleg place, and immediately pauses her paw steps. Starling. [Y/L/N] locates the starling and creeps towards it, killing it with a swift blow on the neck. Young and plump. Perfect.

At the end of [Y/L/N]'s hunting, she caught a starling, two mice, and even a rabbit. Lucky that rabbit was sleeping, arent I? [Y/L/N] proudly marches back to her den, bringing one prey at a time. Walking into her den with snow lacing her pelt, she sees Jayfeather awake and pacing back and forth as if he's seen a murder. Jayfeather hears her gentle paw steps. "Where were you?" he hisses, annoyed. "Hunting. It's still really early..." [Y/L/N] drops her prey in the prey-hole. "...I need to get back to my clan. They'll be worried about me, I shouldn't have left." [Y/L/N] twitches an ear considerately. "Just say your senses got messed up in the rain and you got lost, so you ended up taking refuge in a bush or something." He blinks at her, considering her suggestion. "Bye, [Y/L/N]." He runs back to the forest, harshly grooming himself before going back into his territory.[Y/L/N] watches him questioningly, wondering why it would be such a big deal for him to visit her. [Y/L/N] takes a mouse from the fresh kill hole and tucks into it. I wonder what that was all about. As she finishes the last scraps of her meal, [Y/L/N] decides she would explore the strip of the territory she was in. Gracefully stepping through the lush grass, she smells a leafy-plant that smells like part of the bile Jayfeather put on her infected pad. I'll take some home! [Y/L/N] takes three clumps by the stems quickly and brings them to her den, storing them in a small, slanted corner. About to go outside again, [Y/L/N] quickly realizes it's getting dark. Already? [Y/L/N] lets out a small mumble and steps towards her nest to sleep early before hearing paw steps outside her den, making light crushing noises against the falling snow.
Tiny paw steps.
She carefully peers behind her den before seeing a small kit who seemed to look a just over a moon old. The kit soon notices her and arches his back defensively. "I-I'm not scared of you! I can fight you, I'm almost an apprentice!" [Y/L/N] twitches her whiskers in amusement. The fear in his huge eyes gave it away. [Y/L/N] gives her chest a few cautious licks. "You're not going to fight me. Where is your mother? You're too young to be so far from her." [Y/L/N] sees the young tom cast a glance towards the forest, before snapping his gaze towards [Y/L/N] again. "I'm not telling you! You might attack my clan." "So you're a clan kit. My name is [Y/L/N] and I'm a loner. I won't hurt you or your clan." The kit glares at [Y/L/N], questioning if he should reveal anything. "What's your name?" [Y/L/N] asks soothingly as she inches closer to the kit, earning a startled mew. "My name is R/T/K/N." [Y/L/N] notices how dark it is and knows the kit would get lost without her help. "Come into my den and you can sleep here. I'll bring you back to your clan in the morning." The kit jumps into the air, startled. "I couldn't sleep in a loners' den! My mother wouldn't ever forget that!" "Do you want to sleep in my den, or get lost and freeze?" The kit realizes his chances of survival without the F/C loner. "Thank you I guess," he muttered. [Y/L/N] guides the kit with her tail into her den. "Are you weaned yet?" Judging by the size of the kit, [Y/L/N] guesses he is but won't take any risks. "Do you think I'm not?" he spits, offended. "I won't take any risks. Take some fresh kill if you wish." [Y/L/N] lays down in her nest, making sure to leave plenty of room for the kit to settle next to her. R/T/K/N takes a starling from the fresh-kill hole and notices the leaves she collected earlier. He looks like he wants to say something, but keeps his mouth shut. "E-Err... [Y/L/N]?" [Y/L/N] looks at the embarrassed kit calmly. "Yeah?" "My mother didn't finish teaching me how to strip the meat from fresh kill." [Y/L/N] blinks slowly in surprise, but doesnt hesitate to remind the young kit how to strip meat. "Thanks..." he mutters shyly. The small kit finishes the last of the magpie and settles next to [Y/L/N] before drifting off to sleep with [Y/L/N] soon after.
[Y/L/N] wakes up in the middle of the night, watching the kits rhythmic breathing. She hears gentle paw steps outside her den, immediately knowing who it is. "[Y/L/N]...?" he notices the small kit in your nest and relief flashes in his eyes. "I can explain... I saw him in my territory and it was already dark. He accidentally admat he was a clan kit and I told him I would bring him home in the morning. I fed him already. Is he in your clan?" keeping her voice low, [Y/L/N] makes sure the kit cant hear their low voices talking to each other. "He is. Thank you, [Y/L/N]. His mother was so worried..." his words drift off as the kit begins to squirm in the nest, and Jayfeather soon realizes the small kit is dreaming. "Do you want to bring him home?" [Y/L/N] asks sleepily. Jayfeather gives her a brief nod. "In the morning. I'll send a cat to wait for him at the border." [Y/L/N] nods gratefully. "Did your clan understand about..." [Y/L/N] knows she doesn't have to finish the sentence and Jayfeather realizes her concern. "They did." he meows. [Y/L/N] flicks her tail gently. "I'll go back to my camp now. His mother will be at the border by sunrise." "Okay. Goodbye, Jayfeather." Jayfeather bounds back into the forest, and [Y/L/N] realizes she can't sleep. I guess ill go hunting.

[Y/L/N] catches a magpie and heads back to her nest and gently places it in the fresh-kill pile, seeing the sunrise into the sky. Light peaks into her den, gently waking up R/T/K/N. "Good morning," [Y/L/N] says gently. The small kit looks around frantically, before remembering where he was. "We-- I can go home now!" he beams happily. [Y/L/N] lets out a soft purr. "Do you want to eat something first? Its only sunrise." Almost as if it was timed, the small kits belly growls gently and he nods slowly before he uses yesterdays teaching to strip the meat from a plump mouse.

Note: this is assuming Squirrelflight was pregnant for a while, before she fought with Brambleclaw, and had a single kit around 8 moons before the great battle. the kit in this story had to have a mother so I made her the mother lol enjoy

As R/T/K/N finishes, [Y/L/N] gestures him with her tail and walks him to the forest where a brown she-cat scans the area nervously. The kit yowls softly and runs up to his mother, who licks him vigorously. "My kit! How did you get so far from camp?" [Y/L/N] quickly makes eye contact with the relieved queen, almost drowning in her deep green gaze. She expands thrice her size and shields her kit, who looks like he's about to explode with tiny meows of laughter.
"What are you doing so close to ThunderClan territory?" [Y/L/N] forces her fur to lie flat and tries not to be intimidated by the she-cats muscular frame. "Last time I checked, this isn't Clan territory, so I'm fine. You should also show more respect to a cat that saved your kit from freezing to death." As if the thought of how her kit survived through the snowy night without freezing had never crossed her mind, the queen flattens her ears in embarrassment. "You saved my kit!" At this point, the queen is yowling in happiness and bolts over to touch noses with [Y/L/N]. Well, that certainly was a change of mood. A pang of sympathy jolts through [Y/L/N], knowing it must be hard to think your kit was lost; especially in leaf-bare. "My name is Squirrelflight. Brambleclaw has to see you, he wasn't even able to sleep last night because he was so worried." At the sound of his name, the kit bounces around his mothers' paws excitedly. Squirrelflight sniffs her kit, immediately knowing he's eaten. "You even fed him!" [Y/W/N] thought she was about to pop with how happy she is, and she immediately starts guiding you with her tail.
[Y/W/N] realizes the place shes guiding her is straight into the forest. The same forest she thought she would never, even if her life depended on it, ever go in.
