Note: Hey! So this is gonna have a spoof in it since im that kind of writer. Also, [Spoiler] I KNOW Mousefur and Purdy are dead. This is before the Great Battle, and Mousefur dies during the Great Battle, thus she would be alive at the time. Purdy dies a while after the great battle, so he would be alive, too. [End of spoiler] thats just to clear up some confusion you may have while reading this. Anyways, enjoy! Also, I dont think ill be adding any lemons in this unless someone literally asks for one. If that happens, ill make a chapter for it in specific but it wont be included in the actual story. Can you imagine how just.. Awkward that would be? Like, (wArNiNg this is a bit weird) *Jayfeather and the reader mate* Next day. "Oh Jayfeather last nite was so fun ;>>" "yes babez" "lets do it again tonite" "yes babez" (Okay end of warning im not sorry)

[Y/W/N] wakes up before the rest of the warriors. This, surprises her, judging by the fact she stayed up late. Her head pounds but she ignores it. I would say I have an hour to myself until they wake up. [Y/W/N] steps out of the warrior den and stretches. She makes her way towards the lake in silence. The first thing she sees is Jayfeather, sitting on the shore with his back hunched towards her. How long has that mouse-brain been here? Its freezing! His tail was gently thumping on the ground. [Y/W/N] quickly walks up to him. "Are you mouse-brained? Its freezing!" His head jerks towards her as she says this, clearly showing he was in a world of his own. "Mouse brained yourself! I don't notice it either way." He rolls his eyes, but was clearly lying. [Y/W/N] starts gently but firmly licking his fur that was covered in damp mist from the lake, which probably made him even colder. He immediately jumps back. "What the fox-dung are you doing?" "If you wont groom yourself, some cat has to." [Y/W/N] starts grooming him again and he flinches, but doesn't move. He doesn't protest as she furthers but keeps his lips drawn back in a snarl. She finishes and a wave of water almost hits her paws, along with Jayfeathers. He lets out a startled hiss and leaps back while forcing [Y/W/N] back too with his tail. He realizes this and immediately pulls it back and turns away. She playfully nudges him. "Is Jayfeather afraid of some water?" "Go away." [Y/W/N]'s tail curls and she bounces around him playfully. "Jayfeathers afraid of water~" "Its cold." [Y/W/N] says nothing but purrs and continues bouncing around him. "Stop acting like a kit." "Why?" "You look stupid." "Would you look at that, you got the point!" Jayfeather begins to walk away and [Y/W/N] follows him. "Leave me alone." [Y/W/N] ignores his bad temper and continues skipping after him with her tail held high. After a few minutes of pure silence and [Y/W/N] following the very moody Jayfeather, he cocks his head towards her. "I said leave me alone." I don't really want to get on his nerves. [Y/W/N] doesn't notice the emotional hurt in his voice that he was doing so well hiding and lets her tail droop. "Okay." She begins going the other way and he flattens his ears as if he didnt expect to break her. I guess ill go hunting...

-Timeskip-

Just as she placed her prey in the pile, warriors were beginning to stir in their dens and Brambleclaw was calling a sunhigh patrol. "Bumblestripe, Foxleap, Lionblaze, Cinderheart, [Y/W/N]." [Y/W/N] eagerly pads over, trying her best to hide her tiredness. Since she had spent most of last night with Breezepelt, she didn't get much sleep; especially because she woke up early.

-Timeskip through the border patrol-

The border patrol went well and [Y/W/N] would probably be off duties for the rest of the day.  No cats seemed to have been trespassing on Thunderclan territory, and no sign of rouges too. She decided to take a walk, maybe to some hunting, and come back to camp to check on the elders or something. Before she did so...

-Spoof-

[Y/W/N] was bounding off into the forest because while on the border patrol, she saw a really pretty field of flowers but she knew she wasn't supposed to go see it during the patrol. She finds it and its really close to Thunderclan territory; she had just stepped off of it. Well, I am free of duties... [Y/W/N] begins rolling around in the flowers. It starts to lightly rain, making her let out a startled hiss. "I'm noticing that I'm not the only one that thinks its nice here." [Y/W/N] almost leaps out of her fur when she hears a voice come from behind her. She immediately turns around and sees Jayfeather, calmly sitting down with his tail wrapped neatly around his paws. "Oh! Jayfeather!" "Who did you think it was?" Jayfeather rolls his eyes though he was failing to hide his amusement. "Some other cat that could have killed me in a paw-swipe?" "Yeah, right." "Hey, its possible!" "What are the chances some random cat would decide to wander this close to Thunderclan territory, see a cat rolling around in a bunch of flowers, and rip its throat out? I would say they are pretty slim. Mouse-brain." "Rude!" "Its true." [Y/W/N] lets out a huff. "How are you so good at that?" "What?" "I've, like, never seen you lose an argument!" Jayfeather gives his chest a few licks. "We all have our talents." [Y/W/N] continues rolling around the flowers and Jayfeather lays down, tucking his paws under him, listening to the rain hitting the ground. Why does this feel so nice? Rolling isn't normally so fun. After a moment, Jayfeather speaks up again. "Hey." "Huh?" "Did you notice besides the flowers, your rolling around in cat-mint, too?" "What?! Why didn't you tell me?" [Y/W/N] knows its leaf bare and immediately springs up to see that he was right. Between the flowers were clumps of this sacred in leaf-bare plant that was one of the only cures for green-cough. "Well, I thought you knew. Plus," he puts on a smug smirk. "You'll see the other reason." "Jayfeather, I-" Before she can finish her sentence, energy surges through her. Jayfeather stumbles in his spot a little and [Y/W/N] remembers that he can sense emotions and feelings. She begins seeing the stars are appearing to be closer and she tries grabbing one, but falls. She continues this and keeps falling while Jayfeather begins snorting in his spot. "Oh.. Oh great Starclan!" "Jayfeather, just you wait! Ill catch one!" Saying this only causes Jayfeather to fall flat on his side and laugh harder while he tries shutting himself up by covering his mouth with his paw. "I'm.. I'm right there!" After saying that Lionblaze emerges from the ferns. "Who's there? I'm not afraid to--" "Lionblaze, come help me catch the stars!" Lionblaze glances at her, confused, and then at Jayfeather. [Y/W/N]'s scent of cat-mint and flowers begins to flood his senses. "...Jayfeather you didn't." "I did." [Y/W/N] makes some sort of roll in the air that was too clumsy to be considered a flip. "Aha... I got you, star!" She tumbles over and begins clawing at the grass. Lionblaze begins chuckling but forces himself to shut up. "Jayfeather." Jayfeather turns his head to Lionblaze as if he could see him. "Jayfeather, how long is she going to be like this?" "Shes been like this for a while, just a couple more minutes." Lionblaze begins grooming his paw pretending not to be looking at [Y/W/N] who was literally having a full-on fight to the death with the grass. "Ill.. Ill save you, Lionblaaze!!" She tumbles over to him almost crashing into his flank and begins tearing at the grass near him. "Die, foul beast!" At this point Jayfeather and Lionblaze were on top of each other trying not to break into yowls of laughter. "And I thought you were a cranky tom with no room in his life for humor." "Shut it, I had to!" [Y/W/N] begins tearing the grass slower. "...Why the absolute fox-dung am I trying to eat grass? And when did you get here?" She eyes Lionblaze who was still trying to recover from the energy he lost by laughing so hard. Then, realization hits her. "Jayfeather you little--"  [Y/W/N] gently and playfully bats at his muzzle. Jayfeather flattens his ears. "Stop that." [Y/W/N] turns towards Lionblaze, sharing glances between him and Jayfeather. "If you tell any cat what you just saw, ill be clawing up more than the grass." Jayfeather then turns to Lionblaze and [Y/W/N] as well. "If you tell any cat what I just did, I will personally walk in both of your dreams and kill you myself." Lionblaze rolls his eyes and mimics Jayfeather thinking he wouldn't be able to know since he cant see, but Jayfeather prods him harshly in the side while looking directly at [Y/W/N] with eyes as slits. "Anyways, I'm glad we're all on the same page." Jayfeather  steps back into the forest with Lionblaze and [Y/W/N] trailing after him.

-End of spoof-

[Y/W/N] pads back to camp with prey clamped in her jaws. She didn't want to come back empty-pawed especially since the snow was just about to thaw, but wasn't thawing enough yet. Now to check on the elders... If I do it any later, they'll claw me ears off because I woke them up. [Y/W/N] brings the best prey she can find in the fresh-kill pile over to the elders den for Mousefur and Purdy. "And then, you see, when I got it cornered, I-" Purdy stops when he sees [Y/W/N] and eagerly stands up. Mousefur groans but when she sees the fresh-kill, she gives an approving nod. "That's much better than what those apprentices are given me," she rasps. [Y/W/N] twitches her ear in acknowledgement. "Were you two checked for ticks recently?" Purdy glances at her as if he'd expected her to never ask and Mousefur gives out a both surprised and relieved puff that [Y/W/N] offered it so quickly. "About time one of you young uns asked." "I have a huge tick here in the back of my neck, see..." Before they could get farther into complaining, [Y/W/N] flicks her tail. "Ill go ask Leafpool or Jayfeather for some mouse bile. Ill be right back!" [Y/W/N] hops over to the medicine den and pokes her head in to see Jayfeather and Leafpool discussing something, but they stopped when they noticed her. "Hi Jayfeather and Leafpool! Can I have some mouse bile? Im treating the elders ticks." "Say no more." Leafpool nudges some over to [Y/W/N] who wrinkles her nose at it in disgust but doesn't hesitate to take it. "Ill never get used to that smell..." Her voice fades as she returns to the elders den where Mousefur was already struggling to stay awake. "Hurry up, youngster." She murmurs. [Y/W/N] apologetically glances at Purdy and he patiently waits in his nest, grooming himself as she works on Mousefurs ticks. "That feels so much better..." She drifts off to sleep and [Y/W/N] begins to work on Purdy. "Thanks, young un'." [Y/W/N] nods and she finds a huge tick that puffed out all the skin around it. Purdy lets out a painful mewl as she begins to work on it. "Sorry Purdy!" "No worries. So there was this dog, you see..." [Y/W/N] tries to block out what ever he was rambling about that she knew he was just talking about to get his mind off of the pain and she finishes treating his ticks. "I swear, that Mousefur has just been getting more and more tired every day! She didn't even finish her prey..." He prods a piece of prey she had only taken a bite of. "When she wakes up, she wont take even a second to choke that down." [Y/W/N] mews and lets out a purr of amusement. Mousefur pokes her head up. "I heard that!" [Y/W/N] nods farewell to the elders and sees the sun already beginning to set. Oh... Oh! Her mind flashes back to Breezepelt and she feels somewhat thankful she hadn't thought of him at all today. She follows into the warriors den where some warriors were already settling down, closing her eyes and tucking her tail under her muzzle but making sure not to go to sleep as she waited for the rest of the warriors to come in and fall asleep.
