Chapter 4

ALEX'S P.O.V.

– Soooo...do you have any plans for today? – Lauri said as he leaned on the table.

– Mhmm...I don't think so, why? – I lifted my eyes from my laptop to meet his.

– Just asking, maybe we can find something interesting to do – he shrugged.

I smiled and nodded as I looked back at the screen. Lauri turned on the TV and we stayed like that for an hour or so.

– Aaahh...I'm bored – he said after moving like a thousand times on the couch.

I couldn't help but laugh.

– Let's do something then – I suggested after turning off my laptop and leaving it on the table in front of me.

– What can we do? – He asked sitting upside down on the sofa.

I thought about it for a moment.

– Don't you say that you want a new dog? Let's get one – I said happily.

He smiled at my idea but frowned after a moment.

– Don't you mind keeping it here until I go back home? – he questioned. I shrugged after getting up.

– I love dogs and you're my friend,of course not – I smirked. He did too and sat down correctly.

He tried to stand up but sat down again.

– Wow, wait a moment – I laughed.

– It's your fault. Why can't you sit down like a normal person? – He stuck out his tongue at me.

– Because I'm not normal – he laughed. I smiled.

– Let's go, you're driving – I said.

We exited the house and made our way to the local animal shelter.

It was easy to have a good time with him. He had always his infamous smile plastered on his face and most of the times those crazy ideas in his mind.

– So, what type of dog do you want? – I asked as we walked to the main door.

– One alive – he looked at me bitting his bottom lip trying not to laugh.

I slapped him in the arm.

– Ouch – he put a hand where I hit him.

– Whiner – I smirked.

I took off my sunglasses as we walked in the animal refuge to be received by a girl in his early eighteen.

– Hello, I'm Casidee – she flashed us a smile.

– Hi, I'm Alex and he's Lauri – we smiled back.

– So, we're here to see the dogs – Lauri said clapping once his hands.

– Nice, come with me – she showed us the way to the dog cages.

We started walking from one point to the other of the room. The girl coming with us the whole time.

– What do you think? – Lauri asked me. I shrugged.

– It's going to be your dog, not mine – He glared at me playfully.

 – C'mon help meee – he whined.

I was going to reply when caught in a glance the most adorable puppy ever.

– OMG, it's so cuuuute – I said as I knelt down in front of his cage. The puppy came happily moving his tail and started licking my fingers.

– He arrived yesterday. We weren't able to save the mother – the girl said with a sad expression.

– Oh, poor boy – I said as I scratched his head.

– I think I found my dog – Lauri said.

The girl and I turned to look at him. His infamous smile all across his face.

– Really? – she asked happily.

Lauri nodded. She almost ran to the counter where we found her and went back with a strap and a collar.

Lauri was filling the papers while I was playing with the puppy. He was such a cute thing.

– You look familiar, but I don't know where I'd seen you before – the girl said. I looked at her. She was looking at Lauri.

– Maybe from a music group, I'm the singer of The Rasmus – he said glancing at her for a moment.

– Oh, that was it. I like your music, and you're better in person – she managed to flirt.

I turned around covering a smile and continued playing with the puppy.

– Thanks – I heard Lauri replied.

– It would be nice to see you again – she counterattack.

– Maybe someday – He said simply. I was trying not to laugh. Poor girl.

– Soo, say hi to Kenny – Lauri said as he stroked the dog that was in his arms.

– Hi Kenny – I waved. He barked. How cute.
