Misfortune cried and cried, how could she have done this? The way her parents looked at her after she was akumatized. The fear in their eyes. The way her friend looked at her. Why?

Footsteps.

Lady Misfortune looked up and saw a young woman walking towards her. She scooted away in fear until her back hit the wall. "Don't be afraid." The woman said. "I'm not going to hurt you." Misfortune wasn't sure if she should trust the woman but something inside her told her it was alright. "Your that girl on TV aren't you?" Misfortune nodded, 'she's gonna run away now isn't she?'

Instead, the young woman enveloped her in a soft comforting hug. "You poor thing. Your hurting yet no one will listen to you as to why."

'I can't believe what is happening. How can a woman who knows I'm dangerous want to help me?'

"Tell me why. Why did you become evil?" Misfortune took a breath, here she was about to tell a complete stranger everything that has happened. But she didn't look like a stranger, in fact, she looked very familiar. As if from someone else's memories.

"I confessed to a boy and he rejected me. Afterward, our friendship was ruined, the class hated him for leaving me behind. Not caring if I became evil. I kept fighting back all the negative emotions but I couldn't win. All the guilt and sadness. Then my partner told me that he loved me while I was in my superhero form. I want to change back but the memories are preventing me. If I go back then I'll be back in that depressed state. But if I stay people will fear me but I'll be free. I just want everyone to be happy! Including me!"

The young woman chuckled," I think it's time to let the past go. If I've noticed anything. It's that you don't want to go out of your comfort zone and take a risk. Go home. I think you've been away long enough."Misfortune knew this woman was right, she'd been hiding long enough. "Thank you, ma'am."

The woman smiled, "thank you. Please take care of my son. Tell him I'll come back when it's time." Before Misfortune could ask another question, the woman disappeared into the shadows. A small little blue gem left behind.

"Wait miss you're gem!"

No response. Slowly she grabbed the small gem, on the back was a small old photo. Despite its age, she could still make out the face or faces. "Emile?"

The girl looked up before smiling. "I promise to look after him until you return. I promise with all my heart."

Misfortune stood up before jumping over the old building, "time to head home."

A shadow of someone looked as the silhouette of the hero got smaller and smaller. "Good luck my dear. Beat the darkness and show my family the light again. Finish my mission. I believe in you." A blue light illuminated the alley as a shadow ran off into the evening sun.
